Review: Wider feet? SIZE UP! I did and it solved the poor fit problem. - This might be controversial among the Sperry’s community but if you know that you have wider feet, SIZE UP! I bought some Sperry’s Boat shoes 2 years ago in my size at one of there stores and they were tight, the salesman said that I would break them in but it never happened. I had to sell that old pair because every time I wore them it hurt and were way too tight. So when I wanted some new Sperry’s Boat shoes I got a size 13 instead of a 12 (my size in vans btw) and they are way more comfortable! They fit well and don’t pinch me. I think the concept of breaking shoes in applies more towards them molding to your feet, they shouldn’t “expand” or “get bigger” at least enough to make an already tight and uncomfortable pair become comfy. When your parents took you to get shoes as a kid what did they say, “are they comfortable? Do they fit well?” And I think that still applies even with these types of shoes despite the narrative of “size down because you will break them in.” I want to clarify that I wear these shoes for leisure and style and they are not for work, maybe if you’re on a sailboat you would want something super tight? I don’t know but I do know that sizing up solved the poor fit problem for me. I love the look of these shoes they are perfect for summer and going sock-less is so nice when it is toasty outside. If you want a simple way to dress up a casual summer outfit these are a perfect choice.

The quality, appearance, materials used, and fit have not changed. desertcart is artificially inflating the price. Once you buy a pair for say $65, and then look at more, they are suddenly $110. So if you are thinking of getting more than one pair do it in one session. Also, I'd wait to look at them on the day of purchase. I have noticed that if I look at something and go back later to buy, the price almost always isat least 10% higher.

**Q: Do you have to ties the laces or are these slip-ons?  The pictures are not consistent.**
A: You can tie them tight each time you put them on but most people tie a loose hard knot one time and wear them as slip-ons.

**Q: Considering buying  these from seller 'one nation premium'..  has anyone purchased from them?   is it the real Sperry shoe or a knockoff?**
A: So, I contacted Sperry and they state unless shoes on here list they are Sold by them “Sperry” or Amazon, do not buy them because anyone else is not an “Authorized reseller of Sperry”. Sperry also states they cannot and will not warranty shoes sold by anyone on Amazon.com other than “Sperry” or Amazon listed as the seller.

**Q: the ad shows 10 1/2 but it does not say which width. how can i purchase if they do not specify width**
A: What  is the XW width.

**Q: My husband wears 8 1/2 a or narrow.  what is 2a?**
A: I'm not sure my husband wears a 13 wide, so I got him a 13W and it fit perfectly. Maybe just try getting a half size smaller for your guy, because Sperrys always stretch?
