BikeHard Universal Ultra Training Wheels 20-29"

My son is handicap and finding proper wheels was tricky because it’s a 24 inch bike, which most wheels don’t fit but these do and are sturdy. Price point is pretty average for high quality wheels. Recommend for any assistance with training on a bike. Recommend for disability, or for big kids on big boy bikes.

I gave 3 stars because they were definitely high quality but, they were useless to me and I had to return them as they are NOT universal fitting.

It's strong and fits well on my mountain bike

These stabilization wheels are great and super sturdy! Not too difficult to install! You will need an allen wrench to tighten the wheels. I think I used about a 1/4 inch allen wrench. I'm not sure. I mounted these on my mom's beach cruiser that has a chain guard. This was not a problem. The issue that I had was that the wheels did not align perfectly with the back wheel of the bike so it was IMPOSSIBLE to steer and it made it difficult to pedal. I think it had to do with the shape of the bike frame which caused the support wheel frames to angle outward. I ended up loosening the bolts toward the back and sliding in a piece of hard foam that I cut from a flip flop! Then I tightened up the bolts again. This seems to have worked pretty well! The other thing is that a regular bicycle pump nozzle wont fit between the tiny wheel "spokes". I spent SO much time online searching for what to do but it turns out that all you need is a bicycle pump adapter that has a 90 degree angle! That worked perfectly!! Good luck and God bless!!

Nice strong wheels for my bike, I don't have the balance i used to. Did ger a couple extra bolts tho. Some were too narrow for my frame

I really wanted to like these training wheels and I kinda do and don’t at the same time. I bought them for my son to learn comfortable how to ride a bike. Truth be told these do not work well with the mens Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser bike 26”. First, I could only secure 2 of the 3 U-hooks on each side. It was manageable. Second, it was very difficult to find the right air pump to inflate the tires because of the small wheel area. I found a frame pump that worked to get into the very small spoke area to properly connect with the tire valve. Third, balancing the wheels on both sides was a challenge too. I decided it had to be the bike which had its own set of issues. Overall, the alloy steel frame of these training wheels is very sturdy and durable. I’m going to try it with a different bike brand and hope I have a better outcome.
