DJI Pocket 2 Do-It-All Handle

I purchased the DJI Pocket 2 to document my kids' milestones and special events, and it has been a fantastic investment. Initially, I found it cumbersome to connect my phone to the camera via USB-C just to use the app while at their sporting events. However, this product has been a total game changer! Now, I can easily mount the camera on a tripod or fence and let it record while I relax in my seat—no physical connection needed. It has made capturing those precious moments so much more convenient. Highly recommended!

Wow this device doesn't charge your phone, it does change the port location to the side so you can charge while mounted to a tripod or stick. It also has a speaker to play back your videos with sound, but I say the most priceless feature is the wireless transmission. The fact that I can mount my pocket on my window and watch and control the gimbal from my phone on my dashboard, makes this thing super reasonably priced. It also adds a little length and weight to the gimbal making it feel a little sturdier in my opinion. I waited a couple weeks just 'sleeping on it' with this thing in my cart & just kept reconsidering. I regret waiting, this thing makes pocket life easy.

For convenience, I give it a “5”, but it falls short with its “laggy” real-time data transmission from the Pocket 2 to a phone’s screen (I’m using the 12 Pro Max). I compared the performance of the “Do It All” to a wired Lightning data cable (“RCstyle Osmo Pocket OTG Cable Data Line Universal Extension” — found here on Amazon). The cable had no lag whatsoever, and was flawless in presenting the live images from the DJI to the phone’s screen, but the “Do It All” image transfer to the DJI’s Mimo app was often “jumpy” — and particularly so when panning the Pocket 2. I have the Pocket 2 mounted on a 3-foot extension rod, with the phone at the bottom (cool setup to see over crowds!) I suspect that the unit’s Wi Fi frequency of 2.4Ghz had something to do with the performance shortcomings, and that an “upgrade” to 5Ghz of DJI’s “do it all” would likely solve the problem. That said, unless there’s some other anomaly, the DJI Pocket 2 will continue to record uninterrupted stills/video to it’s data card regardless of the stuttering/staggering images which *may* appear on the phone’s screen because presenting to the screen and recording to the card are 2 independent data paths. It’s like you’re watching a movie on your desktop computer, and power to the monitor is disconnected — the movie hasn’t stopped, so just re-connect the monitor and point your face to it. In all if you can, I’d wait for DJI to upgrade the unit’s wifi transmitter performance (or at least offer the option of switching to 5Ghz WiFi.) Or just use the (much cheaper!) direct connect cable I’ve described earlier.

It’s easy to use, monitor through your phone, control the gimbal, works fine in the limited time I’ve used it. I’ve yet to connect a microphone yet, but it most definitely is something that adds to the functionality of the Pocket 2!

Funciona, si se ve un poco más aparatoso, pero permite conectar distintos dispositivos, el principal, micrófono. Debería venir integrado.

Das hatte mir gerade noch gefehlt... :-) Ganz im Ernst, ich bin ein großer Fan von der DJI Pocket 2 und machen sehr gern damit Videos, aber um mit dem W-Lan verbunden zu werden gab es nur dieses kleine Füsschen, das den großen Nachteil hat, dass es nicht auf ein Stativ aufgeschraubt werden kann. Mit dem Do-it-All-Handle bekomme ich sogar noch zusätzlich den Vorteil, dass es mir nun besser in der Hand liegt, was ich auch echt gut finde. Mit dem kleinen Lautsprecher sind die Aufnahmen einigermaßen mitzuhören. Man versteht was gesagt wurde, kann aber den Sound damit natürlich nicht prüfen. Dafür hat das Do-it-All Handle einen extra Klinkeneingang um direkt einen Kopfhörer anschließen zu können. Alles in Allem für mich ein echter Zugewinn, weswegen ich auch eine klare Kaufempfehlung gebe. Das Material fühlt sich DJI-typisch sehr fertig an und macht einen robusten Eindruck. Gute Entscheidung...

Very useful

Box was pretty smashed up on one side. Pretty concerning given that it’s an expensive electronic device. Thankfully it works fine but was really disappointing how it arrived.

If you have a Osmo Pocket II without this piece you will not enjoy all its performance, especially in sound quality.
