Will larger pistol cases fit in the pistol case holding area?

Possibly. I have a Ruger .22 with a longer barrel than fits in the case. I just let it stick out, and it still fits if I put it in one of the corner slots. If you're talking about a different CASE, then you might be able to close the zipper with a slightly larger case. Alternatively, since the dividers are removable, you could orient them differently. If you had a longer case, you could put it in FLAT first, so you see the side of the case, rather than the end, then put other cases on top. If you did that, you would be limited to 3/4 cases, depending on the thickness.

Well the gun pockets hold a Glock 19 , Glock 44 and a Glock 23 ?

Yes I believe it will. Don't have a Glock but have a MMP with a 5in barrel and it hold that but snug.

Hello, regarding the pistol carry area, are the side walls strong enough to use without using the pistol cases ?

Without the pistol cases installed depending on the weight in the top it will collapse on itself. There is no structural frame to the bottom of the pack.
