The inserts are hard enough to stand up to all of the newest "Super Braids" and the frames are strong and corrosion resistant for use in both fresh and saltwater use. Castaway Skeleton Rods are known for their sensitivity, but Castaway goes through great measures to ensure their durability as well. A rigorous flex-test inspection of each blank safeguards against any defects. While a triple coat of UV protected finish is also applied to every Skeleton Rod for preventative breakdown measures, even going so far as to coat behind every guide for a stronger hold and to prevent corrosion.
