How wide is the spacing between the mounting arms? The one on my bike is 2.25 inches...will it fit?

I bought this one as a gift for a friends bicycle, I’m not sure about the dimensions.

I've got a giant brand connect handlebar. the central bar is too wide and the connectors end up splayed. can i still use this?

I am pretty sure that the mounting bracket needs to be on straight handlebars to work effectively. I would have to say no.

Can Adapter bracket easily removal from handle when needed?

A screwdriver is required to remove the bracket; not difficult but tool-free.
