Bought this book for my homeschool 5th grader and we absolutely love it. Each lesson has a QR code where you scan with your phone and goes through each lesson with your child. You will also have so many activities to do with your child that are fun and engaging . For the projects it’s things you already have in your home . This book is perfect especially if You have a visual learner and they will grasp very quick. Really happy with this purchase.

Please note that this is NOT a test prep book. I got this because I was impressed with the quality of their ELA and Math I and II TCAP prep books. Because the TCAP also includes science, I went back and bought this one because I thought it would be along the same lines. It’s NOT. I don’t think they made that clear enough. This is like the stupidest thing ever. It has “experiments” like mixing sugar and water (!). It’s not a fifth grade level science book, it’s a book that might have been written by a fifth grader for kindergarten science. 🧫 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My daughter is using this for our homeschool year. She has hit some rough spots. I wish the book explained things better, she is reaching moments of self doubt when reading the daily instructions. We have pushed through and successfully completed the weeks. This is not a self-taught book. As a parent, you must be there or have someone there for your child! She genuinely enjoys the experiments! But those must be with an adult as well!

I was looking for something for my kid during the pandemic and to give her extra stuffs to do. This is a good book and she enjoys reading it!

To Busy and complicated table of content. Very difficult to follow or understand the table of content. This is actually supposed to be for elementary kids, while the complex table of content.
