Great Vacuum Cleaner for All Floors
This is a great vacuum cleaner. We previously tried a Shark Navigator, but found it to be very hard to push on carpet. My wife could not push it at all. Bear in mains that this is not a self propelled model. We tried bleeding off suction, and that did not work. We ended up calling Shark customer service and we were told that this model had a reputation of being hard to push on carpet. Wish we had known this information before we bought one. When we buy a vacuum cleaner, we want one that will do all types of flooring. This Stratos model is lighter and easy to push on carpet. Also works well on tile and hardwood floors. The only negative is that it will not stand up on it’s own, unless you lean it against a wall. That is a small thing and something we can easily live with. It does have a small container for debris, but emptying it is easy. The suction is good. No problem collecting just about anything on the floors.

Best vacuum ever
This is the best vacuum I've ever had. It's so powerful, works backwards and forward, the pet attachment makes cleaning the stairs (my least favorite) easier than ever. Super lightweight, the double rollers are new and work great, easy to empty, easy to change attachments, the auto detect for hard floor or carpet works perfectly. I kiss this vacuum!💋

I love it! Works great, easy to manuever, lightweight enough
This review is for the Vertex Ultralight model. I resisted buying a new vacuum because now they're mostly made with the heavy part up where your hand has to support it. Being older and a little weaker now, I didn't want the heavy weight there BUT, this one isn't bad at all. The fact that it's not self standing doesn't bother me like I thought it might. The one that does self-stand seemed harder to steer, so I stuck with this one. I'm used to it. I LOVE the suction power of the vacuum! I love the long cord (I'm in an apartment and one particular outlet lets me do the whole place w/o unplugging!) I don't bother winding the cord, that's laborious; I just loop it several times and hang it over the handle to store in the closet. The no-wrap feature is amazing. I sew as a hobby and not having to cut the threads from the beater bar is heaven! It's also great for vacuuming the car. My only quibbles are that the attachments don't lock onto the wands and they constantly come off, especially the duster brush. But since that's the only thing I don't like, so I can live with it. I switched from a 10 yr. old Kenmore canister vac ... it was still working fine, but I was tired of dragging it around. This is a nice change!

Day 1 Awesome!
Power is the main word I would use to describe my new vacuum. The day before I used my 15 y/o Hoover canister on my living room carpet and really gave it a good vacuum. I went in all different directions to raise the nap and went over it 3 times. Looked great, so I thought. Today I went over it with the shark. Just a 4' x 5' area. You would not believe how much stuff collected in the cup. The suction is unbelievable. It's easier to push than I thought it would be. Dragging around the Hoover canister was tiring. The collection cup is way too small, but very easy to empty. I'm in a 3 rd floor condo and very noisy going over bathroom floor with it. Would be nice to have attachment for hard floors to keep noise down for neighbors below. The cord is very long so you don't have to keep unplugging as you go to different room, but pain to gather it back up. The hand held top pops off really easily for doing couch or stairs. Got it on sale and was a lot cheaper than Hoover price.

Solid Vacuum
We bought this to replace our Kenmore canister vacuum, which was more replacement parts than original. We bought this because it was well rated on Consumer Reports. We needed something that could handle area rugs and wood floors while not taking up too much space in our small apartment. I agree with other reviews that the cord is very stiff. Does this negatively affect the vacuum? No, but it's worth mentioning. I do wish the cord was either on a swivel or that it retracted into the vacuum, since the cord position does make it awkward to wrap the cord for storage since the cord at the top of the handle will be pulled 180 degrees downwards. It makes me worried about wear and tear as time goes on. The vacuum is very lightweight. I do agree though that due to the bulk of the weight being at the top near the handle, it does put some strain on your hand as you maneuver. It's not world-ending though. People complain about the size of the canister. I don't care that it's "small". I can see how full it is and it's really easy to empty and re-insert. Takes less than a minute, so it doesn't really interrupt my vacuuming. On the old Kenmore, we often didn't realize the bag was full and would keep using it anyways since we'd have to physically open the case to check the bag status. It's nice to easily see how much the Shark has picked up and when it's time to empty. The Shark is very powerful. The first time we used it on the rug, it picked up so much dirt that our Kenmore had been missing, even with adjusting the pile level. I typically chose either the rug or hard floor setting on the vacuum -- the sensor mode does an OK job, but sometimes it will switch floor types which won't always be the best setting to use. I personally don't like the odorizer. I have it on the lowest odor setting possible. Thankfully the smell dissipates quickly. Overall, for $200, this is a good vacuum. If it were to break in 2-3 years, I wouldn't be too upset and would just purchase another.

I have had it a month and I like it so far. What is great about it is that it is very easy to use. I live in a dusty area where I need to dust frequently.

Es silenciosa lo más que se puede en aspiradora, si cierras el cuarto, ni se escucha que estas aspirando. Es potente. Aspira muy bien. NO PESA. Ocupa poco espacio. Muy bien con el polvo y pelaje mascotas. Tengo 2 gatos y 7 perros...y solo con esta aspiradora esta limpia la casa. Muebles camas, piso, La recomiendo mucho

Where to start??? First off, cordless is fine but has it's own issues such as battery life, charge time, and battery longevity (they stop holding a charge after a while). Eventually they hold such a short charge the product is unusable. Buy new batteries. Yes.... Because a cordless stick vacuum isn't expensive enough as it is. LoL!! So, having to plug a vacuum in is far from an inconvenience. Also, having a corded motor means more power, more suction. The Shark HZ2002 Vertex stick vacuum is a MONSTER with a whopping 380 watt motor and a 30 foot cord. It has dual rollers in the head (which is a powered head to add). One at the rear with bristles and the front with a polymer rubber fin design. So it's abilities to scoop up debris from laminate floors, linoleum, hardwood or any hard floors is flawless. Vacuuming kitty litter and afraid of getting 500mph granular projectile blasted back at you? No fear. The HZ2002 Vertex doesn't let a single morsel out of it's vortex. It sucks everything in and nothing escapes. As for carpet, the suction is also unparalleled by any vacuum on the market in this price range. My carpets look brand new. I was ready to rent a bin and chuck all of my area rugs. The Vertex HZ2002 had such an incredible impact on these carpets because it lifted deep dirt and tracked-in debris with it's impressive suction power. The triple air filter system is another bragging point. Easy to clean, and recirculates the exhaust air without worry of blowing dust or allergens back into the air you are breathing in. In addition, this vacuum is GREAT on pet fur that gets dug into the fibres of carpet and furniture. It comes with a smaller furniture head as well as a bristle fitting and a long tappered hose for hard to reach, tight spots. What else? It is VERY maneuverable and agile. The LED lights on the front are awesome and bright. The canister SEEMS small but it is perfect. And super easy to clean. Cordless vacuums have to conserve power so the head on them is powered by air flow and gearing which is inferior for proper suction. This vacuum has restored my faith in companies again. I started to think everything in this world was low quality and overpriced gimmicks. Thank you Shark!! I will be a loyal customer for the rest of my days if you keep delivering phenomenal products like this that work flawlessly. You raised the bar in the vacuum industry.
