That’s actually why I bought it, to reduce my electricity consumption. I like that it is kind because I can lay it down my back to warm me up quickly. It also works well to lay around your neck.

My son in London recommended using cold or frozen hot water bottles at night to cool off. Temperatures are getting hotter there and they as a rule don’t have air conditioning. I have regular HWB but this is never going to fit in my freezer. That’s okay. I fill it with very cold water from the shower and sleep with it or use it if I come home from a hot day. I am not using the knitted cover at all. I’m very sensitive to smells and when I got it I just took it in the shower and washed it with shampoos a few times and I can’t smell anything. I leave it wet when I fill it with cold water and it feels cooler like you just got out of the shower. It is very long, don’t worry about that. It’s well made. The box it came in was huge like I ordered a vacuum cleaner. Amazon needs to figure out how to get a smaller box.
