Easy to use, compact, works great

Seems to be working very well. I went through my pile of old batteries and discarded all the ones that were fair or less. I used it on a wide variety of size including the 2032 discs. It’s a nice little tool for my workbench.

Very helpful and works well. It's just a little awkward to put in the batteries but that is not a serious problem.

I bought this battery tester because the one I had was complicated and unreliable. This battery tester is well-designed, compact and easy to use. It gives an exact reading of how much life is left in the battery you are testing. I have only tested AA and AAA batteries, but you can also test C, D and 9 volt batteries. I highly recommend it.

Many “new” batteries often sit unused in a drawer for months, or longer, and slowly lose their strength before first use. You certainly can't know the strength of a battery by just looking at it, and how could you trust these for mission critical devices? Can't say how many times I've installed a “new” battery and thought that it would last a year only to be disappointed when it did not. For these simple reasons, a battery tester is a necessity. This tester will make you wonder why you ever used a simple matchstick style tester. You know the one to which I'm referring; it has three color zones of red, yellow, and green. While convenient and inexpensive, these gauges haven't worked reliably. I've even had one that just stopped working altogether, and it left me with the false impression that a whole box of batteries went "bad.” Range of Battery Types Its greatest strength is that many battery types can be tested. While AA, AAA, and 9V batteries are the ones I tested most frequently, I also needed to test some button batteries. LCD Graduated Gauge This tester is battery powered, and it provides a finer measure of accuracy with its LCD gauge located at the top of the device. This way you can decide quickly whether a battery is optimal, marginal, or unacceptable for its intended use. Soon after I received this tester, I went through a drawer filled with batteries and discovered, much to my chagrin, that about one third of these fell into the marginal or unacceptable power capacity. Construction The material of its construction appears relatively strong for general use, but dropping it on a hard surface could easily chip or crack it. It is not made of heavy duty grade material. Colors The testers are sold in four color options—black, red, gray, and blue, but these options are not consistently listed on the same page. You'll need to search for these. Look for Different Prices and Discount Coupons I've mentioned the fact that different color options appear on different webpages. So, as you shop for different colors, you'll also notice that these testers are sold at different prices with some testers being offered with discount coupons! With a little shopping around you can save yourself a few bucks.

Terrific device. Compact, versatile, easy to use. Paid for itself on day one. For example, rather than than discarding all four batteries on a nonfunctional device, I only threw away the one battery that was failing. … After getting mine, I bought two more to give as gifts to family members.

Arrived on time,built fairly rugged, does what it's supposed to, fairly low tech.

This is a useful tester as it does all the battery types I normally find around the house or office. Only downside is it takes a AAA battery to run. Bases on my experience of recent years, you will have to take the battery out should it sit unused for long periods of time, lest it leak and ruin the tester. I am trying Lithium batteries in items that have long standby times, as I understand they are not so prone to this failure.

I hesitated at first but I find the design and the digital readout very clear. Seems solid and durable.
