Review: BEAST For The Price! This Boom Arm Is PERFECT! - This was probably the best purchase I've made for my streaming setup. It holds my Shure SM7B perfectly. It is great. Explanation point. High quality and definitely recommend. Get the most expensive one they have, as the quality is far better than the other models. There is so much adjustability on this. It's heavy duty. And I've been using it for almost a year with zero issues. My other boom arm broke in only a few short months. I will have a video on this product page very soon as I'm doing a full video review. I highly recommend this. Do not think twice. It also has an LED that can be changed from blue to red or purple! Perfect for streamers or podcasts. I also use it to produce music as well.
Review: If you don’t want to settle for less. - This is simply one of the best desk boom arms available. It doesn’t compromise on much, and is quite rugged. I own an MXL770 condenser microphone, and it holds it EASILY, without being too springy and bouncing all over either. It just simply works, and I find the little extra extension on this newest version (seen in photo) to be a wonderful addition. It is like an extra mini arm which only increases the maneuverability and adaptability of the boom. Superb.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I easily remove the xlr cable and replace it with my preferred cable or if the cable goes bad?**
A: Hello, Removing the cable in this product would require knowledge of how to solder an XLR cable back together. The Cable built into this is put together inside the housing at the factory. Because of this we would not recommend trying to take this apart and remove the cable. This is an issue we are bringing up to our product team, and may be improved upon in the future. However, for now our answer remains as no. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@gatorcases.com. Thanks!

**Q: i have a question with this mic arm work with the audio technica at2035??**
A: Hello, Yes, an Audio Technica AT2035 should work just fine with this boom arm. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly. Thanks!

**Q: What is the diameter of the stem that slots into the desk clamp?**
A: It's a little over 3/8 of an inch.

**Q: Do the tension knobs lock the microphone into position? I'm looking for a stand that can lock very securely in place (in a moving vehicle).**
A: Hello, The Tension knobs will tighten enough to hold the microphone in place so that it will not move. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us directly. Thanks!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Truly solid boom stand - but a bit short
*by V***A on August 6, 2024*

I've worked through several boom stands and this one finally holds position even when extended with a heavier mic (eg: Yeti). I could go on and on with details, but they all add up to "boom stand -- it just works" and, on that description alone it is Recommended. That said it does have two deficiencies -- one very minor and one a good bit larger depending on your needs. The minor one is the typical 'add unneeded differentiation feature and screw it up' so many manufacturers do nowadays. This one is the 'on air' light. It works, but its smallish, dimmish, and a bit hokey. If you need an on-air light, you need a bigger, brighter one than this with more obvious controls (so you're not forgetting which position you left it in - you know, cause the light is so small you won't notice its on/off). But you are buying this because its a solid stand, not for the on-air light so most can ignore this issue. The one problem I have is the base is too short. It barely raises the first elbow above standard monitor height -- and note that many of you with larger monitors already raised a few inches off your desktop need something taller than 'standard' to clear. I had to scavenge the base from my previous boom to get this arm high enough. So pay attention to that 18" back riser and make sure its enough for you. The base I mounted it on has a 10" extension and THAT makes this a really flexible boom stand indeed! (hint hint Gator). So a 5-star stand (with a sad little light) that I'm rating 4 stars because it was not fully usable (to me, at least) until I modified it to reach over my desktop monitor. So definitely recommended for quality and, if you don't need the reach, highly recommended.
