Socket Set, 1/4-Inch & 3/8-Inch Drive, SAE/Metric, 34-Piece (DWMT73804)

I bought this socket set a few months ago, and I’ve already used it for everything from basic car maintenance to assembling some furniture. And it’s been flawless every time. You can immediately feel the quality when you hold these tools. The sockets and ratchet have that solid, well-machined feel that DEWALT is known for. One thing I really appreciate is how neatly everything is organized in the case. Each socket snaps securely into place, so nothing rattles around or falls out when I carry it. It’s compact enough to store easily in the garage or take on the go, but still has all the essential sizes I need. The ratchet has a smooth action and feels great in the hand. The steel is thick and well-polished, offering a very satisfying feel to the touch. The set covers both metric and SAE sizes, and everything is clearly labeled, making it quick to grab what I need. I also like that the case itself is sturdy and actually closes tightly, something you can’t always count on with other sets. Overall, this is an incredibly well-rounded socket set, and for the price, it’s a fantastic value. Whether you’re a DIYer like me or someone who works with tools more professionally, this is a solid, reliable set that won’t let you down. Definitely glad I went with DEWALT on this one!

I have owned this since March 2025, and while I haven't used it frequently, I have been satisfied with it. First, the versatility of this set is good. It is a 3/8" drive with a 1/4" adapter, which is pretty much everything a person needs. There are many socket sizes (I believe there are 30 sockets total). Each socket is clearly marked with the metric size and fit comfortably in the carrying case. The sockets fit on the ratchet securely and are easy to remove when done. In addition to that, this set comes with a 3" extension if you would need it. The overall quality of the set is great - the tools have a very nice brushed metal finish, the carrying case has a shaded plastic, and the locks on the case do their job. I have used this in a few different applications from small automotive fixes to appliances, and it does the job well and still looks brand new after. If you can get a good deal on this, I would recommend it. For most people, this is everything you need and more

This socket set includes a good variety of sizes and is very well made. The ratchet operates smoothly and the sockets fit securely. Everything stores neatly in the case which makes it easy to keep organized. A great addition to any tool collection

This is a really nice socket wrench set. I was assembling a work table for my mini-mill and all the bolts and screws were metric. I needed to get the set-up done ASAP, so I ordered this socket wrench set from Amazon. The same-day order fulfillment was fantastic and allowed me to keep schedule. I kept my expectations low as I just needed something to get the job done, to turn the metric bolts. As I used the wrench and sockets, however, I kept remarking on their high quality. The case is superb. Very heavy duty, with clear cover so you can see and shadow board the kit’s components, and with form-fitted recesses that hold the wrench, sockets and adapters in place and in neat order. Its a really good looking case, too, that would make for a great presentation as a gift. It felt a little bit like Christmas to behold the case and open it. The polish on the stainless steel wrench, sockets and adapters is incredible — mirror like and flawless, and like silk in the hands. Though smooth, the handle of the wrench has great ergonomic fit to the hands and with just enough slotting in just the right places to give a solid, positive grip. The ratcheting is smooth with positive clicks, as well as is the lever to switch between clock-wise and counter-clockwise torquing. All the sockets fit securely, with no wobble, on the drive heads and adapters. They remove and attach quickly and smoothly, with positive snap-in-place without binding or grinding. The top row of sockets are the Imperial standard dimensions, and the bottom row are the metric dimensions. The metric sockets fit to the 3/8” drive head and 1/4” drive adapter. I like that cross-compatibility where all the sockets use the same, Imperial standard driver and drive adapter. There is only one wrench and it has the 3/8” drive head. To attach the 1/4” drive sockets, you need to use an adapter, which is perfectly good for me. There are drive extensions for both 3/8” and 1/4” if you need them. The 1/4” drive sockets attach and detach by ball-detent spring snap to the 3/8” to 1/4” drive adapters. The 3/8” drive sockets require the user to push a button on the reverse side of the drive head to disengage the ball-detent for attaching and detaching the sockets — I’m citing this feature as a good thing, and as a reminder: if you use the 1/4” drive sockets for a long while before switching to 3/8” ones, you might forget about the release button and mistakenly think your socket is stuck. ;-) I enjoyed using this socket wrench set so much that I undid all the bolts and screws — 28 of them — on my machine table so I could continue to experience this socket wrench kit in action, to undo the bolts and screws and then to re-set them. I highly recommend this DeWalt socket wrench set to anyone needing to have both Imperial and metric dimension sockets handy. The kit doesn’t have the full range of socket sizes that you’ll find on a jobber set, but it has sufficient range for 99% of what you would need for most applications.

This is such a well made socket set and I especially love that there are no skips between any of the sizes! Also makes for a fantastic travel size socket set that can be used just about anywhere!

I have a Craftsman set that is good but was one of the sets towards Craftsman becoming a Zombie brand. These feel so much nicer. Great durability, the ratchet is smooth, the sockets all feel like quality metal, and the kit is cool, though I don't have any of the other ones to stack it with. If dewalt wants to send me some, I'd happily review them!
