I purchased this heat mat so I don't need to warm up the entire house all day long for my little herb seedlings. I started seeing seedlings of herbs in 4-5 days. EFFECTIVENESS: Great value for its effective growth support. There were some areas of my germination pods that the matt didn't cover and there is a clear growth pace difference between the areas that did and didn't have the heat mat beneath them. TEMPERATURE: There is no option to adjust the temperature. The temperature worked for the herbs I am growing. I placed the mat on the floor and has been working great. Overall, the heat mat has been helping my herb germination process very well. Be sure to keep the mat dry without water.

Right now during the winter, my kitchen's temperature is about 66-68 degrees. I was attempting to make sourdough starter when I ordered this heating mat. It came tightly rolled which turned out to be a good thing! I simply allowed it to roll around my starter jar & covered the top of the "cylinder" with a cloth to create a very cheap warming "box". My starter loved it and flourished after using it off and on for a few days. I never left it plugged in when I left the house, nor overnight. It worked well. I have now put it away in the box it came in for possible use at a later time. It was quite affordable and did exactly what I needed it to do! I highly recommend it to keep your sourdough starter warm, but not too warm.

I love this and use it for more than just seedlings! It makes a great proofing mat for bread. Speeds things up nicely!

Only one side stayed warm. Instructions are easy to follow. I will have to move to another location and try again will update later.

100% germination rate. Steady warmth is released. There is no temp control but if you already know that it’s not a big deal. Ideal for peppers/tom etc.

I was surprised that this item came from USA. It had USA plug and not useable in UK. I tried using it using a plug converter. Within 30 mins it become hot to touch and not a good thing to do. You really need a voltage converter as USA uses 110 voltage which is different from UK. I returned it.

My country domestic voltage 220 volt but I received 120 volt. How can use?

If buying from the UK be aware that this has a US plug and is 110v so can't be used in the UK without a transformer.

I live in a colder climate and wanted to start peppers in February, this heat mat was perfect for my needs. The IP67 waterproof rating actually delivers. I bottom-water my trays and have had zero issues with moisture damage. Can wipe it clean easily. The temperature range (70-85°F) is perfect for peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant. My pepper seeds went from sitting dormant at room temp to sprouting in 7-10 days on this mat. Consistent warmth, no hot spots, no fluctuations.The 10" x 20.75" size fits standard seedling trays perfectly. I also use it with individual cups on an aluminum tray and it works great for both. One negative is that there is no thermostat included, it runs at fixed temp (fine for most vegetables but you'd need separate controller for exotic plants). Cord could be 2-3 feet longer. This heat mat transformed my germination from 50% success to nearly 100%. My pepper seeds sprouted within a week of using this after struggling for days without it.
