Amazon Basics Aluminum Clipboard, Letter Size, Standard Clip, 6-Pack, Silver

I`m very pleased with these; lightweight aluminium clipboards – they will take an A4 sized sheet of paper and as they are perfectly smooth, they make great sketching boards for using out of doors. I`ll be taking these along with me when my art class goes out sketching – they are much lighter and easier to use than a sketchbook or pad - the heavy clip at the top is excellent for holding the paper in place. Really sturdy and durable items.

Good, easy clean design but, at letter size, is too small for many UK sized documents.

I got these to deal with paperwork when I'm out and about. I don't like the idea of plastic clipboards as they always seem quite flimsy so when I saw these were made out of aluminum I thought they'd be perfect for me. At first glance, they look quite sleek and modern. The clip at the top is quite wide meaning paperwork will be kept in place easily; it also opens up quite wide which would allow for a good bundle of paper to be clipped on. The metal backing of the product is not quite as sturdy as I was hoping for: the metal is very thin and doesn't really provide as much support as I would have expected. If I try to bend the backing, it does indeed arch a little bit which is a bit disappointing: I expected something much sturdier from a product made out of metal. Each individual clipboard is wrapped with plastic: on a couple of my clipboards the plastic was mildly ripped on the clip area which has actually scratched the backing itself. With this in mind, I would take caution when using the clip if no paper is place on the clipboard as it may scratch it and leave a black mark on. Overall, they're okay and I will use them but I don't think they're the best ever clipboards.

I received this product through the Amazon Vine review program. Delivery & Packaging:- Quite pleased that the internal box was small to avoid waste. This is possibly because the clipboards are well packed tightly together. The downside is that this might be the reason as to why each clipboard is individually wrapped in plastic. Whilst this is potential of waste of resources with the unnecessary plastic - I’ve decided to leaved mine one as it doesn’t interfere with the products usability. I’d prefer it not to have needed the plastic but this might the best way to prevent scratches when packaging etc. Brand:- AmazonBasics is turning out to be a good competitor to some better established stationery brands I’ve been using for years – at least on the products I’ve tried thus far. I don’t necessarily just want a drop in quality to drive the price down just ever so slightly. There is definitely a trade-off here. Having a mass produced but good quality product along with lower brand advertising and marketing budgets and economies of scale that drive down the price is great. Lowering quality for a lower price for some products will be a false economy. Product:- The clipboards function well. The clip has a smooth action and is easy to use. You can attach the clipboard to a hook when not it use so we will likely have a couple on the wall for easy retrieval when performing audits etc. I like the fact that these are lightweight and slightly flexible because they are aluminium. I can see, however, that some people might prefer a more rigid clipboard and would rather have the older style wooden or mdf type material clipboards. This is just personal preference – I prefer the lighter weight with a slight wobble board feel. Not only do I prefer the aluminium feel over wood there are other benefits. As these are likely to be used outside, the aluminium will last better than wood as it won’t absorb water (e.g. if it rains) and start to warp. I suspect these will also last longer than wooden ones - as if dropped I expect the corners to be less likely to start to degrade and breakoff. I checked the rounded corners of all 6 clipboards and whilst they are not perfect – none are sharp enough to could as damage to skin when being handled. This is just a minor cosmetic issue. The only real fault I could find is that not all of the rivets that attach the clip to the board are properly riveted. This means that some have one side that is slightly higher than the other side. This isn’t great obviously but it doesn’t significantly impact the usability or performance of the clip mechanism. I have a slight concern that it might cause the product to not last as long and for this price I would expect a better build. Overall Recommendation: All in all I can see us getting good use out of these clipboards both in our home and at work. I’d recommend these even more if they come up on offer. if you’d rather have a rigid clipboard then this aluminium version may be too thin for you.

These clipboards come coated with a dreadful plastic that when you peel off gets stuck round all of the metal fixings. The clipboard itself is aluminium and not as firm and sturdy as I expected as it does bend quite easily. I would love to see these double the thickness especially for the price. Saying that, they are much better than the cardboard and plastic type ones but I have had better quality amazon basics stationary supplies.

These clipboards are very classy with their silver metallic finish. Far better than your standard boring plastic covered drab boards. The clip is very sturdy and despite being made out of metal they aren’t too heavy. They are also quite generous in in size. At over £6 per board they are not cheap but for some they’ll be worth the money. One thing that was a bit disappointing is that “Amazon Basics” is engraved on the large metal clip at the top! Otherwise a classy clipboard.

Mir gefallen diese Klemmbretter sehr gut. Jedes einzelne Aluminiumbrett ist mit Klarsichtfolie bei der Lieferung ummantelt. Die Klemmen sind fest an dem Aluminium angenietet und halten Blätter sehr gut. Man kann sogar größere Mengen an Blättern sicher an diesem Klemmbrett befestigen. Das Aluminium ist gebürstet und gefällt mir vom Aussehen her schon sehr gut. Sie sind aber auch super praktisch. Die Größe US-Letter muss man sich so vorstellen, als ob bei einem A4 Blatt noch zu allen Seiten 1 cm Luft auf diesem Brett ist. Man kann wirklich das Aluminiumbrett in die Hand nehmen und darauf sicher schreiben. Man kann sie aber auch an dem Loch an der Klemme an einer Wand befestigen. Mir gefallen Sie, deshalb gibt es von mir auch 5 Sterne dafür!

Ce sont de très belles tablettes avec une pince robuste. J'a commandé en aluminium car je voulais y faire glisser une règles magnétique afin de lire mes patrons de tricot. Seulement, je ne savais pas que l'aluminium n'est pas sensible aux aimants. Simple erreur de ma part. J'y ai collé une feuille de métal et le tour est joué.

The basic size is measured before fittings. The A4 paper will overhang bottom by 1cm. They took A4 size board and didn't consider that once clip is bolted on, the board is too short.
