I don't think Maria understood your question. These boxes obviously do taper. If you're looking for containers that don't taper, and don't mind spending a lot of money, I recommend storage solutions from "Really Useful Boxes." They have an impressive selection of colors, styles and sizes. They're based in the UK so shipping is expensive if you order directly. You can also order it directly from a few places in the US and some offer free shipping if you spend enough. Beware of buying them on Amazon because they aren't all as advertised.

Would a set of sheets fit in each container? Thank you

No, I don’t believe the size containers I purchased would be wide or deep enough for sheets. I bought the containers to organized my seasonal dish towels/oven mitts (Christmas, Easter, Spring, Memorial Day, Halloween, July 4th etc). They did not fit this purpose so I had to return and bought something more suitable at a local retailer.

36 cans of beer but it is not insulated

Can these go in a deep freezer?

I don't see why not. I haven't used for the freezer. They are good quality for my cupboard storage.
