Major upgrade
If youre like me and upgrading the spindle on your cnc, youll probably be recommended this a lot, and honestly theres a reason for that, the standard motor on the cnc is 7k RPM, this is 20K and so a major improvement, if you want to feel the full effects of that, this will need its own power supply as it takes a fair bit, but it can still be ran at speed without just having less torque to it, the nut and collet provided is alright quality but safe yourself the hastle and buy one of each individually, youre buying a spindle, not those parts and so may be slightly off and make noise, which is why Ive given it a 4/5 on accuracy, as the vibration from that makes it majorly louder, as well as the added speed of course, but still having this spindle at such a low price has made milling softer materials so so much easier and better, with it even milling aluminium at a push (this is all without its own power supply like I said). So overall this spindle will get your job done, and done well at that, it is still a budget spindle, but is a damn good one and I totally recommend it.

Loud but powerful
The motor is very loud but runs much truer than original motor in my 3018.

Noisy
Works well as a drop in replacement for the original that came with the CNC, it's so noisy!

Big improvement for PCB work using small cutters, but important to check chuck nut balance!!!!
I bought this 20,000rpm spindle motor as the stock 9000rpm motor was barely fast enough for PCB isolation routing. Initially on first run up I was shocked at how much vibration and noise there was!! After investigation, this was not a fault of the motor and spindle itself, but the collet nut being out of balance. I STRESS to anyone experiencing big vibration on these motors that they try running it with the nut and collet removed!! Mine was very smooth with very little runout. After trying several nuts, only 2 out of 6 were acceptable (the others shook the whole machine ridiculously!). I do believe there are nuts with balance hoes available. Coupled with a home made soft start, I'm now really happy with the spindle, and making pcb's for fun!!

They work
These are standard motors and good to have a spare as accidents happen.

Terrifyingly loud and snapped a bit instantly
I'm not sure how this has noise suppression, it is on par with a full size circular saw for noise, I was expecting a bit more noise but extra performance moving from a 10k spindle but using the same bit and settings that I had been using for multiple project for my 10k motor to try it out the bit snapped after roughly 2cm of cutting, I thought this may have been a one off so tried again and the exact same issue happened again, maybe I got a loud imbalanced motor but its in the box ready to return and ill stick to my cheapo 10k motor thanks.

Really loud motor.
Item is good but it is the noisiest motor I have come across. So high pitched. I would advise you find another one.

Yes, it is loud, but no louder than my wood router.
First thing I did was measure the runout. I put the motor in a vise and placed a dial indicator on the side of the collet holder (without the collet cap). Rotating by hand, the total runout is .001". This is very good. The collet holder is glued onto the motor shaft. I suspect this is because they tweak the thing until it's true. I'll bet this is why they give you a holder with the motor. You are purchasing a system. I would recommend that you never remove the holder because it'll never go back on straight. Went to install it on my cheapo 3018 and it wouldn't fit. There is a metal band on the motor, presumably so it will fit larger machines. The band simply snaps off, which allowed the motor to fit into the Z-axis bracket just fine. The diameter of the motor, without the band, is 1.65" I read all the reviews about ramping up the motor, but just for fun, I simply turned it on at full speed with the Candle interface. The motor came on without any issues. However, just for good measure, I will put the ramp-up code into the header section of the gcode generator so it's always there for all NC program files. The motor is very loud, but not because it's unbalanced or out of round. It runs at 20K RPM, so I would expect it to be loud. It isn't any louder than my Craftsman wood router. I was hesitant to purchase this motor, but since Amazon has a decent return policy, I decided to risk it. So far, I'm pleased.
