The Dayton Audio DC200-8 Classic Series 8" woofer achieves high levels of performance at a reasonable price. It's perfect as the basis of a custom speaker project, or for repairs and upgrades.

Review: Perfect Replacement Speakers at a reasonable price - When I received the Dayton Audio DC200-8 8" Classic Woofers, I found they were carefully packed against any potential shipping damage. Taking them out of the box, it took me about 10 minutes to replace each of my 40-year-old woofers whose paper cones had long since disintegrated. Once they were replaced< I had my wife start a movie she had been watching earlier in the day. She was astonished at the difference. She commented on being able to easily hear the deep soft cello notes that she hadn't been able to hear previously. As a musician, she was immediately taken by the speakers and the clear crisp sound they produced. From my perspective, the speakers were super easy to install and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the screw holes or anything else. The sound is so much better than the old speakers, I can't remember when these old speakers sounded so good. The price was considered very reasonable. If I had to do it again, I'd chose these woofers.
