these are awesome scissors great price..very sharp and no snags..they cut thru 6 layers of fleece,double knit and batting with ease i highly reccommend..i compare them to the guggenheim ones i have ,they have develped a snag and im unable to get them sharpened very functional and not a heavy weight. the extra scissors are a great bonus.very sharp ..the snips are very nice also

I am very pleased with the scissors. They are durable, you can feel the weight in your hand but they are not heavy. They cut fabric very easily, like butter. Excellent price and quality of the product.

Super sharp! I use for cutting finger tape off, beware that you can easily cut yourself with the small tool without even knowing it - they are all THAT sharp! Worth every penny

The scissors are definitely not light weight, and quite sharp. They came well oiled and there was no trace of rust. While I have not been able to give them a thorough testing, and probably won't be able to for some time, I did attempt cutting through several layers of fabric, and I had no trouble doing so. The handle is comfortable, and despite the thickness (about .5 inches) of the layers of fabric, I only experienced minor discomfort, and I find it difficult to believe that any pair of scissors could have reduced the discomfort any more. Of course, a couple of layers of fabric didn't cause any discomfort. The other scissors are also more than sufficient for their use, leaving the ends of thread with a very clean cut rather than something ragged. No small fibers sticking out from the cut end to give you difficulty threading a needle. The seam ripper is nothing special, it works as well as any seam ripper I've used. It is of course a nice inclusion for anyone who doesn't have one as they are perfectly suited for their task and I use them to completely remove annoying tags on shirts and what not. My only complaint, and for me it's not really a complaint, is with the measuring tape. The one I got has a couple of manufacturing flaws, as can be seen in the two photos I took. Personally, I already have a measuring tape, and this once will suffice as a backup. I only mention it because some people may be purchasing this kit in part because of the inclusion of the measuring tape. I will say that this is likely not common, and you almost certainly won't end up with one that is bad in any way. Other than that, the tape is a fairly common type of measuring tape. I'm not sure of the exact makeup of it, but the outside seams to be plastic. There's definitely some other material, maybe a fabric or fiberglass or something, that the plastic is either covering or integrated with. It doesn't stretch, at least not without an unreasonable amount of force being used, and should last a lifetime and longer so long as it's not abused. Should I experience any issues, I will update my review.

A little heavier than expected, but sharp edges and blades are big enough for material cutting. The smaller scissors are great for hand craft cutting. I highly recommend this item.

Although I ordered these sometime ago I only got into the box in the last couple days. Very sharp edges, impressively stabby tips. Perfect if you need to carve out refined angles and small pieces. The big shears come with a guard, this set is quite heavy—if you have carpal tunnel or arthritis these could cause you pains. Personally I find heavy scissors help keep my long cuts more straight? 🤣 Excellent set unless you have a condition that requires you to go with lighter tools.
