what is the maximum size skate that will fit in the bag?

My son's size is USA 11.5 / Euro 44. Fits without problem, it could be even larger. He is a figure skater. I believe most skates are OK but speed skater's long blade could be too long.

What are biggest ice hockey skate can use it ?

I'm not sure, it fits a size 10 hockey skate with a little extra room

Will straps rip easily? Are they durable?

My son has been using this bag for over a year now and the straps have lasted. They are like backpack straps and have some cushion. He goes to the ice rink 4 times a week. This bag has been great. There is more room inside than I thought there would be. He puts a one inch three ring binder, a normal size towel, a light coat, large water bottle and jump rope inside. I also like the breathing holes for the skates.

It is large enough to hold an adult Bauer ice skate Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, ice skate socks, keys, cellphone, billfold in the middle section, an adult ice skate with a skate blade guard in each of the side sections. I own 2 TRANSPACK ICE SKATE backpacks.
