Great shower curtain rod!
This replaced an older, spring loaded, straight shower curtain rod, with a finish that matches the handles and hardware in my shower/bath. This curved rod, with nicely finished covers that fit over both ends when it’s installed, was easy to install, and has stayed in place perfectly. I didn’t want to drill into my new tile to have a curved rod, and this gave me that option, looks better than what was there, and stays in place perfectly.

Sturdy and stylish
This is just a really nice shower rod! It's heavy and feels very sturdy while being just fancy enough to jazz up a plain bathroom. The tension mechanism is really clever and seems to be holding fine, but the option to mount it with hardware is still there if it doesn't stay in place. Plus, the magnets are fantastic if you're short like me! Just strong enough to snap satisfyingly in place but weak enough to come free with a light tug. I do want to mention the plastic sleeve that some reviewers said was missing from their rod. It's *really* small and could easily be lost because you have to pull the two halves of the rod apart to take off some protective wrapping. Just make sure you locate it before pulling everything apart. Oh, and the sleeve is easier to get into place before putting tension on the rod, so following the order of steps in the directions actually is a good idea. I say from experience.

One of the best bowed shower rods I've bought!
For 16 years we've been buying bowed shower rods for the bathrooms in our homes that do not have glass doors. For some reason they are difficult to find now. This one is the best I've found. First, it does not need to be permanently secured into the wall with screws, which is very helpful for when we want to repaint the bath. Second, it is super easy to install; just have two people, one of whom is taller than 5'. Finally, I LOVE the magnetic end feature! We ordered other curtain hooks because the ones that come with it are ugly, but as long as the hooks are stainless steel, they will "stick" to the ends when they slide close. It is a great feature that keeps all areas of the shower and tub securely tucked in!

Plastic End Broke Off After 6 Weeks of Purchase
The plastic end that holds the threaded piece used to adjust the length of the rod broke off just 6 weeks after purchase. This was $80 down the drain. I can't believe Moen would make this part so weak. It's an important piece to the rod. You can't install the rod without it. Updated Review (05-2025): I contacted Moen. They shipped a new product to me at no charge. I received it in a few days. I was pleasantly surprised, I was not expecting this level of service. It justified changing my original review. The product still has this flaw with the "adjustment" piece. It can break off easily, making the product useless once it does. Not over-tightening the rod (tension install) or forcing the rod after it has been tighten in place will hopefully keep it from breaking. Overall, it is still a nice product.

Very Difficult to Put Up
Extremely hard to put up and get the end pieces to lie flat/connect to rod. Tried with multiple people. Still not up yet. I wouldn't recommend.

-1 stars. Included rings are not magnetic. Amazon sent a replacement. Same issue. Had to get replacement rings. 2h of my life gone. Buyer beware.
