I left a review for Damplifier Pro prior to this. I had spent a long time deliberating between brands, trying to save myself a few dollars. In the end, I went with Damplifier Pro and had no regrets. This review is the same story. Just for my own curiosity, I priced out competitors MLV, some with the extra layers, and some without. While the Luxury Liner Pro appears pretty dang expensive, what you get for it is actually a good deal. Two small boxes appeared on my doorstep 2 days after ordering. I went to lift the boxes and immediately thought "ok, this is good stuff..." Upon removing one of the rolls, I was very happy with the appearance, the weight, and zero stench. Even though this stuff is thick, it does conform fairly well to floorpan geometry. We put this in a '69 Mach 1, so the floor isn't necessarily as intricate as some modern vehicles. I only had to make 3 small relief cuts to get it to lay flat up around the transmission tunnel. I did not use adhesive because the carpet is molded, and the seats bolt in from under the car, so that will hold it in place. If you don't have a method of holding the MLV down like this, you should consider spray adhesive just so it doesn't slide around. Once the carpet was in, it had a much more pleasant, cushioned feel. I haven't driven the car yet since the engine isn't in at the moment, but the difference is astounding already. Previously, it was carpet on bare floorpans. It rattled and sounded like a tin can. Now, I can notice a massive difference and the interior isn't even put all of the way back together yet. I'm looking forward to having a quiet and comfortable muscle car. My days of tinned out street/strip cars are over. Buy this, you will not regret it. You may save a whopping $15 going a different route, but there is no way it will be this nice.

This stuff works awesome! So far I've only added the luxury liner pro on the whole driver side floor over dynamat extreme. I also put under drive seat, I took the seat out and lined all down the seat bracket on front side and back side then cut a slit on each side for the seat bolts to screw in through the pad back into the frame. And it oversatisifed me! I drive a 13 Camry and it now feels like a high end luxury car. Can barely feel any bumps in the road what so ever, even at 90 mph can hardly feel or hear anything! If done right I highly reccomend! Doing trunk in the near future! Also from what another post said, yes the ends dont meet with each other but it's only like a quarter of an inch on each side, not a big deal what so ever very easy to cut to whatever suits your needs. And no it has no smell to it at all, or atleast mine didnt. But what did have a very big smell was the adhesive spray that I used. Not much of a bad smell over like a day or so it kinda has like a new car type smell to it. Not sure of the brand I used it wasn't what they offer i found it somewhere else but sure it smells somewhat of the same

Been using this stuff for about ten years. It's fantastic, provided you know what it's for. You're never going to soundproof a vehicle. Dynamat and those products are to deaden the sound, the LLP is there to block as much of what's left as feasibly possible and it works when it's placed effectively. It's very thick so be prepared to have to finesse the reassembly of whatever you took apart.

Above average! Excellent. Sound proofing material, you pay for what you get, which in this case is excellent material

I have a 2021 Chevy Tahoe. Normal decibel level was 70-73 db without any sound dampening. I drive a lot and on louder roads so this was hurting my ears and causing me fatigue. I Put this under front floor mats, laid it on floor board in 2nd and 3rd row and then 3 strips across the back cargo area when 3rd row seats are down. This is perfect for dampening sound on floors and trunk. In addition to this I insulated doors with a stick on lighter closed cell foam product. It lowered overall decibel levels to 64-67 on the same roads. Major difference in ride quality.

This stuff is thick and seems to work well but is expensive for what it is. Metal tape adheres to it just fine. Can cut with scissors. Installed this in truck doors and seems to cut down on noise.

Seems to be good stuff. Wish I'd have done more research first though. I cut everything out to replace my vapor barrier on a door panel. 3M Dual lock held it up without a problem. The door panel itself didn't even come close to properly seating again though. The product is just too thick for my application. So while it seems to be good quality, I unfortunately wasted a lot of money on something that will not work for my application

Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro does work, though it is a bit heavy, and the install can be a very tedious process. I was driving my 1st generation tacoma with all terrain tires on the highway for hours a day and started getting ringing in my ears and reduced sound sensitivity. I lined the interior in segments of dynamat, which helped bring down the amount of noises and rattling and made the truck sound 'dead' but the decibel levels were still into the 80's and 90's on the road. After installing LLP the levels are down into the high 70's to 80s most of the time. It's enough of an improvement that my hearing doesn't sound muted at the end of a drive anymore. I covered the back wall and floor only, it took 4 sheets, and it did add about 120 lbs to the truck, which I don't like. Doing the inner door skins would be great also, and I'm considering doing this next and seeing how much more reduction I see in the cab with a decibel meter. Initially I didn't want to spend what I did on this project, but its the proper way to get it done.
