Awesome vacuum
This is my second Shark Vertex, model az2002. The first one lasted 5 years. The plastic swivel component that attached to the floor vacuum literally broke in pieces, a small piece first, then a large piece, then all of it. It would still vacuum, but not stand up, nor could you maneuver it. Tried repairing, gave up. I replaced it with a Shark Navigator lift away. I had previously owned one of those. After using the Navigator for 7 or 8 months, I decided to go back to the Shark Vertex. My reasons were, the Vertex is self cleaning. I have a great Pyrenees and a shepherd Pyrenees mix, a 2 small dogs. I vacuum every other day. It takes forever when you have to stop and clean the brush roll out. I also have a shag area rug, and when using the Navigator, even with adjusting the suction, it was more of a work out and struggle. I started looking at the Vertex model and caught it on sale on Amazon, I won't say what I paid, but it's a lot cheaper than what the price is now. Having said all this, the Vertex is worth it. The suction surpasses the Navigator, and it even dusts your floors. Long dog hair, no problem, vacuuming the car, got it. I dont find it to be heavy, or cumbersome. The Navigator is a good vacuum, but for me the Vertex is worth it, even if I only get another 5 years out of it.

Impressive vacuum. Love my purchase.
Wow what a great vacuum. Has a strong suction, does a wonderful job picking up pet hair from my uncarpeted floors. Very easy to maintain. It is a bit heavy for me to maneuver as I am 80 plus years old. However, I highly recommend it to everyone.

Works as a vacuum should
I’ve had this vacuum for exactly 2 weeks. I use it nearly daily, sometimes twice a day. No pets, but a handful of small children that like to leave a trail of crumbs. We also have had a revolving door of visitors in this timeframe. Based on the other reviews, I was expecting some sort of miracle machine. Maybe my expectations in general are too high, but I give this 5 stars merely because it meets my minimum standards for what I expect out of a household vacuum. It has great suction. It’s pretty much bringing our carpet back to life. Our old vacuum still works (so I thought) but was definitely dying (purple shark idk actual version, I loved it for 8+ years, it took many beatings, survived many cross country military moves well). As an experiment today (2 weeks post purchase), I vacuumed our living room entirely with our old purple vacuum and then immediately again with this new version. Pictured is what our old vacuum left over for our new version to pick up. Clearly, this one out ranks our old, beat up friend by a mile. I cannot vacuum small rugs with this without getting it clogged, it’s too strong in any of the settings. This new one is doing some serious work for us. Again, maybe I’m expecting too much, but this is just what I imagine a well made vacuum—especially at this price—to do. Also pictured are the rollers. I have not cleaned them at all, and they look fresh out of the box. No pet hair in the house, but my daughter and I have long hair. Plus like I said, we’ve also had many guests, so it’s been tested. The attachments are fine. Both standard attachments fit perfectly on the bottom as seen in the last picture, so I don’t get the upset in the other reviews on this aspect. I don’t like the location, I prefer them near the handle since I do use them very often. This I can get over though. Only had one fall off once, but that was due to me bumping it. I do like the long, narrow attachment better than the old version. The brush is an adjustment. It’s larger than the old standard ones. It does also pop off the hose frequently which is frustrating. I’m still getting used to it, but I’m sure it’ll be a non-issue within the next couple of weeks. I don’t think the size is really any better or worse than the old one. The extra mini roller attachment is just ok. It kinda works, not as well as I’d like. Maybe I need to keep using it to get better with it. There’s no spot on the vacuum to store it, so it’s basically nonexistent in my mind. The longer cord is also taking a bit to get used to with handling it, but overall I do very much appreciate the additional length. The canister does seem a tad smaller, but for the results, I don’t mind. Pops on and off easily, opens easily to dump. With this design, no hair or stings get tangled up in there, so I haven’t needed to stick my hand or a tool in it to fully clear it out. Absolutely an improvement. LOVE that the power button is on the handle. It’s very smooth with adjusting the settings even while running. The bare floor setting actually works and doesn’t just send things flying in every direction. It is on the heavier side, but I disagree with the other review that says this is too much for an average person to have. This vacuum works like a standard home vacuum should. It has a few flaws that can be overlooked, but I would much rather pay an extra $100 for this than buy a lighter, less effective vacuum. Unfortunate it’s this pricey, but as someone that finds this incredibly expensive, I’m seeing that you get what you pay for with this one. It was hard to push confirm on this order, but I’d say overall it’s worth it given the current vacuum market.

Long review, you may want to read it before buying though
I work as a professional housekeeper so I do know a thing or two about vacuums, I got this one with the purpose of using it for work but regretted it. I won’t be sending it back because I feel I got it at a fair price ($250 on sale), I’ll start with the pros. For the price I got it it’s great honestly, some vacuums now are 500-1,00 which is crazy and if your buying one to use it for your home you don’t need to spend all that much because every vacuum does the same basic things so why pay that high price when you can pay a more comfortable price and get similar results. There’s so much rave about the new Dyson roller ball vacuum and I want to say that this one’s just as powerful as that one and for a more comfortable price ( I think the Dyson is like $800) I didn’t get why it’s so overhyped and over priced, it does look more modern but it is a pain to drag that thing around it’s super heavy, this shark one is a bit lighter. I like that this vacuum has LED lights which is very helpful especially if you have pets or messy kids, it’s easier to target spots on hardwood floors that are messier. This has 3 different features that work nicely and is simple to use once you get used to it the different buttons. One of the reasons I chose this one is because the canister part is removable and it can be used with just the stick so it can go under beds or furniture, that is very very convenient for a thorough clean (another point over Dyson). This vacuum is cute! Yes it’s a nice rosy gold pink and the attachments it comes with (3) are great, you can use them to get on the sides and under cushions of couches, to suck the dust out of base boards or get in those crevices like between washer and dryer, in the side of the fridge, behind furniture and also for pet hair. The suction power on this thing is crazy which is both a pro and a con because it’ll pick up alot of hair crumbs and all of that but it’s so strong that the vacuum runs away on its own 😅. This can be a really big pro tho because If you aren’t trying to get perfect vacuum lines or anything this vacuum does the work for you, it moves on it’s own so you’d only struggle when pulling it back or if you have to carry it around a big house or something. So with that being said Im happy with my vacuum except for the things I’ll mention below but before I get into the cons Id like to suggest that if your need to use this for home or business you need something that’s easy to use and works well, all vacuums do the same basic stuff which is collect hairs and particles of dirt, if it’s not bad quality and you use just about any vacuum ( I recommend the grey shark UV725, gets the job done, lower price, comes with similar handy attachments, headlights and is light weight). The biggest con to any vacuum is if it’s heavy 😖 and this one is, and like i said it’s suction power is strong so instead of you dragging it it drags you, after I’m done using for too long my arm and lower back start to hurt, and that shouldn’t happen for me specially because I clean 2-4 houses regularly and my body has built up a bit of strength to push a vacuum back and forth daily. So that means for an average person it might be a bit hard to use as well or maybe I’m just weak. Another sort of con is that you must be careful of any big or sharp object on the floor or any long string that can get wrapped around the roller because this thing sucks I’m everything and you couldn’t damage it if you aren’t careful. This also need to be cleaned, you must get in there and cut off any hair wrapped around the fins or else the hair or or type of string will end up cutting through the fins because it spins so fast so try to stay on top of that every few uses. Other than that this vacuum is great honestly. Keeping your home clean is and should be important, it’s important to have a clean space that you can come to be have a bit of peace from the outside world and not the other way around so when looking for things that are meant to improve your home don’t be lazy, do your research, accept that it’s a process of trail and error to find what works best for you and your abilities and schedule. As a housekeeper something I notice a lot is that people are enticed to buy expensive things or random gadgets, tools and products for cleaning and they get exited about purchasing them, use them once or twice and quickly becomes something that just sits in a storage closet collecting dust. A lot of social media influencers or bloggers will recommend products or tools that look cool or feel nice or smell nice and people will buy them thinking it’ll help them stay on top of their cleaning but it won’t. So really think before buying all those expensive different products. You must have self discipline and not rely on motivation to do those things. To get your house cleaned you don’t need a variety of products, you need good effective products that give consistent results and most important you must know how, when and where to use them. If you go on social media and look for cleaning videos you’ll get alot of “cleaning tips and tricks” that don’t work or aren’t done properly and you’ll end up messing up your house so get on YouTube and do your research. Don’t think of this as an expense, instead as an investment. I hope that if you’ve gotten to the end of this very long review that it helps you out and if your having trouble staying on top of your cleaning at home don’t beat yourself up and shift your mindset and relationship with cleaning. God bless you and best of luck !

100% recomendada.

I have owned this vacuum now for over three years. I live with two Labs that shed contently and need to vacuum daily. I have owned at least seven different vacs over the past 40 years always living with multiple dogs. This vac has outperformed all the vacuums that I have used. It is so well engineered and thoughtfully put together. The suction is incredible the rollers never get bunged up or clogged with hair. The ease of removing the main body from the business end of the vac allows for easy access to under furniture or use on stairs, not to mention the extra reach from the power plug that is obtained at least 5more feet. Clean out is a breeze with the trap door on the bin and the additional top door opening. It is such a good vacuum that I purchased one as a bonus for my G.M. when she mentioned she was looking for a vacuum. Although the cost is more than a lot of vacs but not as munch as the cordless hyped alternatives under the "D****" brand. Buy this vac you will not regret it.

Muy buena compra ! Al principio dude de logrará aspirar los pelos de mi mascota por ser de batería, pero resultó ser potente y la batería dura bastante ! Excelente compra !

I just reviewed this yesterday, I immediately vacuumed my carpet that I had LITERALLY just vacuumed like 2 hrs prior and the dust that this thing sucked up was amazing and disgusting all at the same time! Works great on both our hardwood & carpet, I love how I can just manoeuvre from one to the other without having to change the head. The extension wand and removable container make it so easy for me to vacuum everything!

My house has a built-in system. I thought it was good until I powered up the Shark. On a recently vacuumed carpet, this unit filled up quickly with hidden dirt. I have a Lab, and this unit can pull dog hair that the other vacuum missed. It is easy to empty and easy to clean the collection canister with warm soapy water. The power bar and high suction can make small area rug corners a bit of a challenge, but that is the case with most vacuums.
