I Think I Have Found MY Perfect Razor
I have been a very particular shaver since about the time I started to shave. I started with an injector razor, strayed into electric razors for short while and then when back to blade razors. When I went into the Navy, I had to shave every day in bootcamp and we were issued BIC disposables. We had to shave very close and I quickly learned what razor rash was. I got in on my lower neck, especially on either side of my Adam's apple. This became a continuing theme in the Navy, trips to sickbay being rewarded with tubes of steroidal creams. I don't recall the razors I used then, whatever was available in the small store. When I went to sea in the Persian Gulf, I tried a beard for a while but it was too hot and started to shave again and the hot, humid weather made the rash worse. Later in life, I standardized on Gillette razors and treated the occasional rash with steroid cream. First the two blade Sensor and later, the Mach. The Sensor worked, especially with the premium blades. The Mach did not - almost from the start I got razor burn. The problem is that the whiskers around my Adam's apple grow to the side, with some angled up and some down. To get that part smooth, it takes several strokes and that leads to irritation. When the 5 blade Fusion arrived, I bought one (I probably have 3 handles now) and loved it. But over the years, the cost of the blades has risen enough that it bothers me. I know Gillette spent a lot of money developing this razor, but paying about $4 per cartridge is a lot of money, especially for people who have been in the habit of changing the blades every week. So I extended to every two weeks and that mostly worked. And then I decided to see what else was out there. I've tried Schick in the past and didn't like it, at all, so I skipped that. First I tried Harry's. Nice handle. ok blades. Went back to the Fusion. The I sucked it up and tried the DSC. Their two blade razor was about the same as the Sensor, so the experience wasn't better and the cost was about the same as buying the blades on Amazon. Then I tried the 4 blade and I had a better experience, except that to get a smooth shave, I had to press hard and the razor seemed to drag. So, a month later, I got the 6 blade cartridges. They worked well, but now I had another issue. The handle design works great if your hands are dry. Wet or slick, not so much. By now, I had done my homework and realized that the DSC razors come from Dorco, so I went to Amazon and checked out the offerings. One thing I noticed right away was that the Dorco Pace 7 had a thinner handle design. The 7 blade razor also doesn't have a rear facing blade, which isn't a problem as the design of the head of the razor allows you to get it right up under your nose. So today was my first shave with it. I used a 'shave butter' non-foaming shave cream which will usually gum up a razor after a few strokes. No problem with the Pace 7. It was smooth and didn't require much effort to make my cheeks smooth. Then the neck. Usually, I stroke down from the jaw, then have to reverse the razor and stroke up from the neck, and then angle the razor to get the problem area. With the Pace 7, I just stroked down. That was it. The 'Gartner Magic Quadrant' that is my Adam's apple area was smooth and not irritated at all. So, I will be ordering another one of these for my shave kit (I travel a lot) and will probably give them out as gifts. I shave with commercial lathering shave creams mostly (Aveeno, Gillette, and Proraso shave soap) so I may update this if I get any significantly different results.

Wonderfully smooth shave, I've become a Dorco fan. (Look at the gloss in the video. Now THAT'S a clean, close shave!
This is a bald man giving this review so please take into consideration I shave more than twice the area of the average haired man. Also, I will not buy Mach 3's, Schick Quattro's, or similar because I think it is completely insane what they charge for their blades. That said, I've been searching for a blade NOT Schick but that still does a smooth job on my face and entire head. Yes, I did Dollar Shave Club, which is also a Dorco product, but their three blade razors cut me like no other blade ever has, they are horrible. So why, if I know Dollar Shave Club is Dorco, would I try another Dorco product? Call it a gut feeling but I felt based on the price of the 10 pack on Amazon these would be at least be a worthy experiment. I was correct. These blades are fantastic! They provide a very smooth shave on both hand and scalp as good or better than any $4 blade on the market. Seriously, I'm loving these blades. My skin feels smooth, they glide effortlessly, in two weeks I have gotten ZERO nicks or cuts. These are seriously an excellent shave. Pros: - They aren't super stupid expensive like many others. I have a problem with corporations charging more than fair and these guys charge what I feel is a fair price for the product. - Smooth, smooth, smooth. This isn't just a chin or a cheek talking, this is an entire head making the claim. These blades are a smooth shave. - No nicks, no cuts. Your mileage may vary but this head shaver is having a great experience. Cons: - Rinse more than usual between strokes, there's not a lot of room between blades. Running your thumb DOWN the face of the blades tends to remove anything stuck in the tiny spaces. - That's about it. I'm also looking forward to trying Dorco's 6 blade razor which my gut also tells me is probably an excellent shave as well but I've got eight 7 blade razors to go so that'll be a couple months out at best!

We love this razor, it's truly a the BEST ever made!
Me and my wife both loved this product when we first got it as the blades cut close without any pain or nicks, showing that the razor those are definitely high quality and well made. I would say they definitely last longer and are better than any other brand we have tried (and it's close cut is amazing! However, when we went to buy refills we saw how crazy expensive they are and bought the 5 blade instead which was much more affordable....Sadly they are just not the same as the 7 which also has a cool bend down peice on its Edge so you can get super close to your nose and areas that you normally can't get to which was one of my favorite things about the seven, the 5 does not have that feature and feel sharp/hurt sometimes which is why I wrote a review for those that they may be counterfeit and once we have the money we're going to just bite the bullet of price and buy the seven blade refills which will last longer, cut Amazing and allow for close cutting in the nose area which is a big deal to me as I'm sure it is others because it's a hard part to get to! If only they could sell the seven blades for Less, like a big wholesale pack then I would be happy to buy them in bulk for a better price hahaha so the razor itself is my favorite overall and we have about seven different brands we have tried, but the seven is the best!!! Even though the blades are super expensive I guess all blades are crazy expensive to replace so this definitely deserves a full five stars!!

Great razor, mediocre latch
I've used Dorco razors for a few years now, and the Pace 7 works well, much better than the Gilette razors I had used previously. I have a pretty hairy face, and these blades clean me up well. They last for literally months before needing to be changed. The one problem I've had with them is the latching mechanism that holds the blade to the handle. The handle itself is comfortable, and the latching mechanism usually works well. Mine, however, failed after about a year, pulling completely free from the handle. As I wrote, I have a lot of hair, and I'm sure that puts additional strain on the latch; the Gilettes I used previously failed much more often, generally after about 3-6 months.

BEST DECISION EVER!
I have used Dollar Shave Club's Executive blades for about 12 years. Dollar Shave Club recently sold out to another company and unfortunately discontinued their Executive blades. I tried their "new and improved blades", but realized real fast that they do not compare to the original Executive blades...they SUCK! I have been forced to find a razor that I am happy with, but it hasn't been easy. First I tried Gillette's top razors, I was highly disappointed. Next, I tried Amazon Basics 5-blade, it was even worse. Next, I subscribed online to Harry's and tried their razors, they were terrible. Then I tried Swipe razors on Amazon, the sucked too. Just when I was about to give up, I came across DORCO PACE 7 razors. I tried them and I LOVE them. They remind me of the Executive razors I used for years through Dollar Shave Club. I did some research and found that for many years, DORCO supplied DSC with their razors. DSC was recently purchased by another company (which explains why my original blades were discontinued) and DORCO lost tons of business. Because of this, DORCO signed on with Amazon as an exclusive seller. This long explanation explains why I love the DORCO PACE 7 blades just as much as my old DSC blades. THEY ARE THE SAME BLADE!!

Dorco... You'll Love It❣️
I am thrilled to have my new Dorco shaving set... This is my first experience with the 7 blade system, bit I've previously used Pace 6 for over a decade and it always gave me a perfectly smooth shave. So far the Pace 7 is working well, even though I may go back to 6 blades when I use up the 7. (I personally don't see/feel a difference in the shave, but for some reason the 7 seems - to me - to drag a bit more than the 6.) I quit using Dorco for a while, because I suddenly developed razor rash all over my face. During that time I tried a couple of top rated electric razors while getting the same results.. Ends up, my problem wasn't the razor after all and the rash cleared up as quickly as it came on after a visit with my dermatologist. I now have a nice electric razor I don't use, because the Dorco gives me a smooth shave in one stroke, without going over and over the same area required to get "almost" the same results with the electric. I am sincerely happy to be back using my favorite razor system, the Dorco Razor❣️

Blade life and quality not as good as Gillette...
After being a longtime Gillette Fusion PowerGlide user for years, I got tired of paying for the expensive refills. Did some research and found out about Dorco. After trying the Pace 6 Power for a few months, I dropped the handle in the shower and the "power" function no longer worked (even after replacing with a fresh battery.) No problem though, so I began using it without the "power" function, but after a couple of months, I could never seem to get a close shave on one side of my face, even with a fresh blade. I decided to try the Dorco Pace 7 last month and WOW! I haven't changed the first blade cartridge yet, and even after shaving almost every day, I'm still getting the smoothest shave ever! The handle is much more balanced and heavier than the Dorco Pace 6 Power, but I agree with some of the other reviews about the Pace 7 that I've seen here...there isn't much space between those 7 little blades and you do have to rinse much more while shaving. To me, this isn't a big deal, I am just impressed that I have finally found the best razor on the market for a very reasonable price! If my Dorco Pace 7 continues to perform like it does, I will never go back to Gillette! *** Update *** After using this for about 6 months, I decided to go back to using Gillette Power Fusion. Blade life on the Dorco isn't as good as the Gillette blades nor does the Dorco give me a consistent close shave like the Gillette Power Fusion does. I have had to spend an additional 2 minutes, dragging the Dorco over one spot in my beard to get rid of stubble. Whereas the Gillette blade gets it on the first try. Don't know why this is, but I don't have time to play around with this when I'm rushed in the morning. Yes, the Dorco Pace 7 is cheaper, but as far as quality and a consistently good shave, I sticking with Gillette.

Never buy expensive Walmart razors again
I first thought this razor would shave the first layer of my face off but just to see what a seven bladed razor looked like I bought it anyway. Then the joke was on me. Lol. It was more than I expected from the description of this item. Not only does it work without having to recheck my face and make sure all the stubble was cleared but it shaved so well (without giving a rash), that my face really did feel so smooth. It reminded me of when I was a teenager and had no hair on my face. More surprising, I shave my face and chest in the shower and it was probably a month before I had to switch blades. That’s the surprising part. I have to shave every day which makes me feel so confident that the face you actually get teen extra four packs of razor refills + plus two blades that are attached to the case (a case that nicely hangs on my shower wall. I’d you get frustrated about having spots of stubble after you shave then it can be solved, just purchased this razor and you’ll never have to shave again…. At least I haven’t so I really love that I found a razor that not only works as it’s meant to, but now I can get refills without never leaving the house. I’m Brian Moses and I suggest you get the Dorco Pace 7.
