I was worried about her adjusting to it. However, this collar is padded on the inside and she took to it very well. It can be adjusted to probably between a 15lb dog and a 60lb dog, depending on neck size. The reflective portion is in the stitching, so it's effective but not overwhelming. The material is sturdy and feels like it will hold up well to an active dog.
