A great upgrade
I was skeptical whether I’d receive a genuine Shimano chain, but after viewing lots of guides online about how to tell the difference, I was confident when I received the package that it was legit Shimano equipment. After installing the chain, I can say that it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve made to a bike. Pedaling is silky smooth and whisper quiet. It’s new, but I’m expecting durability to be rock solid as well.

The best chain for Shimano Components
If you have Shimano components and if you love the shifts smooth the best decision is use the Shimano XTR Chain. In the past I did not have any issue using this chain. If you regularly cleans and lubricate the chain, you will have a good chain for many miles and miles.

Works on 105 Di2 12 Speed
The XTR chain is lighter than the standard 105 12-speed chain and seems so much quieter. Certainly worth a few extra bucks to go with this chain, and it's also cheaper than a new cassette and new chainrings. If you are wondering if your chain needs to be replaced, it probably does. Just do it!

Worth the upgrade
Bought to replace a chain on Shimano 105 Di2 and it was great decision. I notice a huge improvement in gear changing as well as the comfort of the ride. It’s much quieter too than the chain I had installed previously. Can’t comment of durability yet but I expect it to be usual great quality from Shimano.
