Review: Excellent quality! - This is a very good quality mixer tap with spray. Very good value for money. The tap was fairly easy to install with clear instructions in pictures, if you are a competent DIY person or a plumber. I would recommend that there is someone else to help with the fitting, as when you connect the plumbing under the sink it needs someone else just to hold the tap steady on top of the sink. The only slight difficulty we had was when you had to push the flexible hose down through the tap fitting, because of the end fitting on it, but with a little bit of jiggling around we managed okay. The tap and the spray have a very smooth action. The spray is particularly useful when washing fruit and vegetables.

**Q: Will it fit through a 40 mm work surface?**
A: Is this the right question? Would the tap not generally be through the sink rather than the worktop? The tap would then fit through the sink into the void cut in the worktop to accommodate the bowls. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is this tap suitable for hot water from a gravity fed tank in the loft.  The cold water is from the mains**
A: Yes. I purchased this tap and installed it a few weeks ago in my kitchen with gravity fed hot water and direct main cold water, and it performs fine. My cold water mains pressure is quite high too. The retractable spray head is very useful but does tend to be a bit fierce if the tap is open too much, but it's a matter of getting used to getting the setting right and getting wet a few times first. lol

This is a very good quality mixer tap with spray. Very good value for money. The tap was fairly easy to install with clear instructions in pictures, if you are a competent DIY person or a plumber. I would recommend that there is someone else to help with the fitting, as when you connect the plumbing under the sink it needs someone else just to hold the tap steady on top of the sink. The only slight difficulty we had was when you had to push the flexible hose down through the tap fitting, because of the end fitting on it, but with a little bit of jiggling around we managed okay. The tap and the spray have a very smooth action. The spray is particularly useful when washing fruit and vegetables.

It is a Grohe, so quality is top notch. The installation instructions are out of date to the product. Two of the parts are newer and the instructions did not match. So a bit of guess work was needed to fit things together. Once all fitted. Nice and shiny.
