Rich Tomato Pesto
This is a really nice sauce. It is thick like pesto but largely tomato based as opposed to the primary flavor being basil. The small jar is enough for a single large dish. I really appreciate the simple ingredients. Overall very happy with the "Trapanese Pesto Sauce, made with Tomato Sauce, Basil & Almonds. Italian Specialties. 6.3oz (180g). 100% made in Italy. Spread on toasted baguette and it was delicious and flavorful. I do think the price currently $11.99 for such a small jar is a bit overpriced but if that’s not a concern I say go for it!

The pesto tastes very good. The flavor is rich and satisfying. There is strong tomato taste. There is a lot of sunflower oil added to the mix, but it didn't feel too oily to me. It was great as a spread on fresh bread. It was good as a pasta sauce, too. It says it contains almonds, they must be mashed because I didn't notice any pieces, it is pretty smooth
