It doesn’t matter what the ph of water is because our hair does t have the same ph as water. The goal is maintain our natural balance. This shampoo is to remove build up and to sort of strip hair. It definitely a once a week-er or less. **Q: Does this remove silicone?** A: Yes this removes silicones. SLS/SLES is NOT needed to remove product buildup. Heavy butters like shea cause more build up than 99% of silicones - if you have extra product build up, you can always shampoo twice. The whole "silicones are the #1 cause of build up!" Is only a marketing scheme for a multi billion dollar a year industry. The fact is, emollients are emollients and your hair can't tell the difference between synthetic (like silicone) or natural (like oils and butters). It's way more important how much you are using based on texture and porosity vs which specific emollient. **Q: Are these packets or bottle?** A: These are packets. I have really long hair & use 3/4 to 1 full packet. I liked that they were available before I purchased a bottle. It works really well. **Q: Is this safe to use on permed hair?** A: Yes it is. It is mostly a natural product that will remove residue from product from your hair. If you are a light blonde, the Abundant & Strong products will turn your hair a mud-coloured light brown. As a natural light blonde this was an upsetting experience. I used the Malibu crystals for removing mineral build up and then used Un Do Goo a few times to wash the crystals out completely (the ascorbic acid in the crystals can turn blonde hair yellow). Every wash with Un Do Goo is removing more of that hideous mud colour from my hair. It’s been about 2-3 weeks and my light blonde hair is back from root to end. Thank god. This shampoo is a bit drying which is to be expected so I also used a clear bond repair shampoo after washing with Un Do Goo and then a deep conditioner instead of a regular conditioner. My hair is waist length and I had to trim an inch off due to dryness but I was probably due for a trim anyways. This product saved my hair. I’m so grateful to have found this.
