Cotton Jones features ex-members of Page France. This music mixes elements of soul, rock, and gospel into a gauzy cocoon of small-town sound. An album of quiet, wooden psychedelia that reflects the duo's casual pursuit of comfort and freedom under the mountains of Cumberland, Maryland, where creeks zigzag in the lonesome dark of the forest, and a red moon hangs overhead.

Beautifully Recorded
Wow, just discovered them. My music range is very broad, but I seem to keep gravitating to alternative folk; which is the best way I can describe them. The most similar I would say is: Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, as they both have male and female singers.Songs could be labeled as many genres: Folk, rock, country, blues, so it's somewhere in between. Love the sound, including the rich base.

Cotton Jones is a band that grabs you from the first note and owns your thoughts long after the final note has left the speakers. How this band is still relatively undiscovered is completely beyond me.
