faster speed is excellent for our spinning feature.
30 rotations per minute is great for a hanging mobile feature. We had a much slower spinner (10 rotations) but hardly seemed to show off the mobile movement. D-cell battery sems to last quite a while. Ran for 24 hours as we forgot to turn it off and it still works fine on original battery.

This just works for my project
I wanted to shoot a video about my vinyl rip project, and this works just perfectly. It spins really aggressive and I like it. Too fast for even a small disco ball
We tried this with a 7” disco ball and it must be rotating at about 30-40 rpm, literally felt like we were at warp speed in our garage. No speed settings and I couldn’t create enough drag to slow it down. Ended up not using it.

Rotation a bit too fast
The spinner is sturdy, stable, and easily holds a large disco ball without any issues. Build quality feels solid. My only complaint is the rotation speed—it’s a bit too fast for the ideal disco effect.

MAKE IT 1 RPM!!! NOT 20 IT'S A DISCO BALL MOTOR!
Waaaay to fast for what it is intended for... idea is 1 RPMs.....not10 or 20! they have stated they're coming out with 3 +/- RPM.....that's STILL TOO FAST... if you're going to make a disco ball motor... idea is 1 RMP! YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.....NOT TOO LATE FENELY! 1 RPM! And make it with a remote control! I'd pay $40 ALL DAY LONG for those 2 features! Nice build quality though......

Exactly what I was looking for
Very sturdy build and the included larger hook was great to have. One battery lasted longer than I expected from continuous use. If you need to spin a disco ball look no further.
