Somat Dishwasher Salt (Case Lot of 5 Boxes)

I’ve been using Somat Dishwasher Salt for a while now, and I’m extremely pleased with the results. It works just as well as the Miele-branded salt—if not better—and is significantly more affordable. When I use this salt, my glasses come out sparkling clean, silverware sparkles, and I’ve noticed a definite improvement in the filter and internal tub. I truly believe it’s helped extend the life of my Miele dishwasher, which I’ve had since 2007. Hard water can be rough on dishwashers, and this salt has made a real difference in keeping mine running smoothly. Overall, this is a high-quality product at a great price. I’m very happy with it and will continue to buy it. Highly recommended—especially for anyone with a Miele dishwasher.

Works great! Softens my water and a filling lasts as long as it should. It's the best dishwasher salt I've found. I just wish the price wouldn't fluctuate so much.

This salt has worked flawlessly in our 16-year-old Miele dishwasher. I have not dared to try any other brand that might be less expensive since this is a seldom needed item.

Good salt. One box fills the salt reservoir in my Bosch dishwasher. Is less expensive than Miele salt, although the individual boxes are smaller than Miele salt boxes. No reason though that dishwasher softener salt should be this expensive, but it seems to be the better value than other brand, or "off brand".

I knew it was a few pennies more than other "comparable" brands, however after paying a premium to get a Miele dishwasher, I wanted to use what they recommended and see how it worked. I'm extremely pleased, this salt and the dishwasher work together very well. I don't need to use as much soap/detergent as the cup holder size indicates, and yet all my dishes are just sparkling clean. I really won't try a cheaper salt, after paying for a Miele, why compromise on what makes it work well? Yes, I'm the type of person who always shifts over to synthetic Mobil 1 oil for my vehicles and doesn't have to pay for all the maintenance issues with my vehicles that my friends with the same machines using regular oil do later in their vehicle's 'life'. The same can be said for taking care of the dishwasher. Put the proper items into it on a regular basis, take proper care of it, it will take care of you and do its job well for a long, long 'lifetime'. If you are willing to compromise and save a few dollars after spending so much for a dishwasher, you probably should have saved a lot of money and bought an inexpensive dishwasher so you have the money to replace it a few years from now when it fails. Stay informed, make the decision that's right for you in the long run. By the name brand salt and skip one candy bar snack per year (it's been almost that long on just the first load of salt into the dishwasher for me). Makes sense when you think of it that way, along with all the benefits you get, right?

We bought this for our Bosch dishwasher that uses salt because our water is very hard. We can use many different brand salts, and this one works just as well as any other. However, it’s very convenient that one box fits exactly into our Bosch dishwasher the pouring spout could be a bit easier to use, but otherwise, really like this. It also seems so much lower price than other things out there.
