Very easy to install in a regular gutter. My mobile home gutter has a cover on it so I just used the bolt from this item and drilled a hole through my existing downspout. It worked great. Very happy with the notch which keeps my pretty water chain steady. Also it was very lite so I was sure it would not damage my gutter.

Easy to install. Cardboard template made sawing the correct size hole a breeze. Aluminum will not rust and is lightweight. Fits 5" gutter nicely. I like the brass cross bolt that holds the rain chain. The fittings are convenient and eady to remove to attach chain on either side. Works as described and expected. Nice look.

I've had mine in place now for several months and they work great! They are solid and securely hold our rain chain. Easy to install, as long as you don't mind being on a ladder.

Manufacturer assumes that the installation of the gutter adapter is replacing downspout outlet and does not provide any dimensions or installation instructions related to modifying a gutter for installing the gutter adapter. Our installation of a rain chain was a new outlet in a 5" steel gutter. For installing in a 5in gutter the provided base plate needs 1/4" of flange remove to sit flush. A 2" bimetal hole saw is required to cut the proper diameter thru hole in the gutter. Not only using sealant calk, but I also recommend adding 4, 1/8" dia x 1/4"L rivets to secure the adapter base plate then sealing the rivets. The combined weight of the adapter assembly and 8 1/2' chain is not excessive. If installing greater than 48" away the nearest gutter hanger an additional hanger should be installed adjacent to the desired outlet location for supporting the gutter. This install is a more aesthetically appealing than a downspout at the front door of our home.
