Review: Well made 8 guage Amplifier kit! - Ive owned this perticular amplifier kit before. and recently purchased a new one and a pair of Rockford Fosgate P1's. let me say this amp kit is nice. comes with everything you need but speaker wire ( i already had the speaker wire left from the first one) installs neat and clean in car with little effort. RCA cables are nice and send clean signals. It matches my alpine MRD-300 v12 mono amp perfectly. If your getting cheaper kits, then your missing out on what your system can really do. Why spend the money on nice amps and subs and whatever else, then cheap out on the wires that send the signal to your equipment!! And for the money its a good deal on desertcart. I bought first one two years ago for the full price from best buy.

**Q: I bought rockford fosgate 8 kit for my Corolla 2007s but can't find any way to run the power wire through the car's firewall, any suggestion? Thanks**
A: Normally the vehicle has a rubber grommet up behind your Gas/Brake pedals to run wiring from the engine compartment into the interior of the car. Most of the time you simply run the wire from your battery through that same grommet. It should look something like this http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b254/inventor731/PICT1371.jpg  If you don't have one located somewhere accessible, you may have to drill your own hole. You could always take it to a shop that does car-audio installs and just ask them to run that wire through for you if you would like to save money and do the work yourself. I've heard from a friend he paid $20 for a shop to do this for him. Good luck, and if you decide to drill your own hole be very careful and be sure to buy a grommet to keep the hole sealed from bugs and other stuff from getting in.

**Q: What size fuse does it come with?**
A: I would hope it comes with a 60 amp fuse since that's what's on the package in the pictures, not a 40 amp

**Q: How long is power cord? The speakers are in the very back of a 1999 dodge Durango**
A: If you route the power wire correctly you will have enough cable to get from the battery to the back of the vehicle

**Q: Does this kit hook up to the 12 inch subwoofer?**
A: This kit -8 gauge, provides material for an amplifier turn up, I had to purchase a stand-off battery connection -mine is a side mount, and you still need to purchase speaker wire to interface between your amp and your speaker...

This worked great for wiring up a single crossover, amp, and sub. This is true 8 gauge COPPER wire. All the wires/cables were more than long enough. I originally wanted to run 4 AWG power cable, but my RF Punch amp would only take up to 8 AWG, and I did not want to put a distribution block in. It will more than handle the load that my amp requires. Have had it all installed for for few monthes and have had no issues.
