Used it for a trip to an observatory this week, I really like the red light mode and the way that you can turn it to max brightness fast by tapping the side. Also appreciate that the band isn't garish and is just a simple logo. Stays on pretty well!

This is the only headlamp my husband will use, which says a lot because he’s very picky about gear. It’s bright, comfortable, and actually stays put without being annoying or heavy. What he likes: • Bright light with good beam options • Comfortable fit that doesn’t slide around • Easy to adjust and use • Reliable for outdoor projects, camping, and random tasks We’ve tried others and this is the one he keeps reaching for. I’d buy it again without hesitation.

All I need is a simple white/red headlamp with a decent amount of range and lumens, and this does all of that. The build quality seems to be much better than what I have seen previously in headlamps priced around $5, sold in packs of 3 at big box stores. The headband is pretty high quality and it's comfortable. The battery power meter feature is nice; I'm not sure the power remaining indicator is completely reliable with NiMH rechargeables, but when it's down to one blue light, the batteries still work--although just barely. The point of failure that I have had with previous headlamps is that the click-adjustable tilt up/down capability eventually stops holding the light at various angles, and it just flops down immediately. This Black Diamond model seems stronger in that respect; we'll see how it goes long-term.

You can get cheaper head lamps that work pretty well, but which will break when you drop them, or not hold the batteries tightly enough to maintain contact when moving your head around while lying on your back under a car or a kitchen sink, etc. This Black Diamond light holds the batteries in place, is made of durable plastic, and has a number of options for adjusting the strength of the light, or changing to red to preserve night vision, and has flashing light options. Keep the guide handy until you have learned how to use the options. The head band is comfortable, and not likely to loose its ability to stretch around your head over time. For close-up work using tools, you want even, reliable light that doesn't eat batteries. Most of us don't need the brightest, battery-draining light available, unless your application or job demands it. This is a great little light, but keep the guide handy so you can master the options, and know how to adjust the settings without having to take it off. As with any battery-powered device, keep fresh, extra batteries on hand, stored with the headlamp. When you need one, it can be an urgent situation, like a tornado, a flood, a black-out, or a car wreck, and you need it to work immediately, w/o searching for the batteries you will need.

I had another one like this for about 8 yrs i think... lost it on a trail. Was a bit glitchy - had to knock the old one against rocks... but i probably got it wet while changing bats.. its rubber sealed when closed so make sure its dry and the bats aren't cold from the fridge. Condensation no Bueno. It was quite bright and so is this one for night time. I bought 2 .. 1 with recharge batteries at home for around the property at night, and 1 with normal batteries for out at work. It's a rugged unit and like I said quite bright at its rated luminosity. I bought 2 more so im sold..

My favorite headlamp. I have at last 7 of them- in bags, vehicles, beside my bed… everywhere. 😂. Use lithium batteries and you won’t be disappointed. Far better light and longevity over alkaline.

This headlamp has some nice features. I like that it remembers what setting I used last. I use the red light feature to read at night which disturbs my wife less. The fact that the red light is dimmable makes that feature even better. The normal light mode is plenty bright. I can use this for working on the house, hunting, camping, etc. Looks durable, so hopefully it will last.

Toll, was man alles einstellen kann. Man muss nicht durch alle Modi durchschalten, was mich bei der alten Stirnlampe immer genervt hat. Es gibt also eine Memory-Funktion. Man kann sie seitlich schnell auf bitte jetzt ganz Hälfte halten und dann wieder zurück in die Memory-Funktion setzen. Am besten finde ich aber, dass man stufenlos dimmen kann. Das ist einfach prima. Was mich gestört hat ist, dass die Lampe leider nicht mit Akkus funktioniert. Man muss also(warum auch immer) anders als in der Beschreibung angegeben Batterien verbinden.

I love using this headlamp, it is my go to for many situations. I have used it multiple times camping with friends, doing repairs on my truck, I always bring it with me into the field with the Military. The dim feature/ being able to keep it on a certain setting no matter how many times you turn it on or off is great, unlike other veranda where you have to cycle through them everytime you turn on the headlamp. I have bought 3 of these and will continue to get these. Awesome headlamp to have.

Ci sono altre lampade frontali che costano meno e, sulla carta, garantiscono lumen più alti. Ho deciso di comprare questa perchè conosco il brand ed avere una lampada frontale efficiente può fare la differenza in campo alpinistico e non. La potenza è comunque più che sufficiente al massimo, anzi illumina molto bene l'area davanti a sé, in più c'è la possibilità di regolare finemente la luminosita tenendo premuto il tastone superiore; ovviamente abbassando la luminosità aumenta la durata delle batterie (non una batteria ricaricabile ma ministilo di tipo AAA, una soluzione comoda per un cambio rapido in caso di batterie scariche). Ha anche la possibilità di impostare luce intermittente e luce rossa, ottima per chi, come me, potrebbe utilizzarla per sessioni di fotografia notturna al cielo.

You don't need more, and there's no point having less. Buy it and get on with your life. There may be a new version next season but you won't need it, unless you've got friends.
