My grandson (aged 4) loves this. It does not only follow the lines on the board (jigsaw) you can draw a thick black line and it will follow that to creat your own route/game. Looks well made.

object is cute. the make quality is good. the track pieces easy to use in small hands. But "" Dart the chameleon""" should of made to move faster. Child is all ready bored of it. As it is so slow.

Whilst this is a very basic introduction to coding, it is an extremely well priced one, and the play value and variety contained within the concept makes it a real bargain. The idea is quite simple. You read a series of stories and from them build a track out of the various jigsaw pieces enclosed, and if you are successful Dipper the Narwhal, who is indeed a narwhal for some reason, completes his journey by following the connected black line on each jigsaw piece, making enthusiastic narwhal-style sounds as he goes. It's a simple idea, but does genuinely teach the basics of what coding is, and it's lots of fun, too. When you have completed the three adventures in the storybook, you can design your own tracks with a blackboard marker on the white obverse of the puzzle pieces, or indeed on a piece of paper, etc. So as I've said, there's a lot of play value and learning contained in a very affordably toy. Highly recommended.

Very basic but still lots of fun coding game which helps teach coding without the need for a computer. The box comes with a very colourful 12 page book which while you read you arrange the 16 tiles in order to help Dipper the Narwhal reach his goal. I love the fact that this set not only teaches about coding but encourages reading too. Anything involving a story is always a bonus for me being a large bookworm myself. My gang have had lots of fun with my eldest reading the book while showing my younger twins how to code (although they are more interested in Dippy). They all enjoy watching the motorised and interactive toy move along the black line paths and my eldest even more as he is the one leading the path for it. It is great to not only teach coding but for younger children helps learn numbers and older ones sequential thought and computational thinking! The kids can draw their own black-line paths for Dippy to follow or if they can flip over the tiles for extra black-line segments that help extend the preschool learning fun! This does contain small parts so supervision is needed with smaller children. This would also make a great gift and is great for rainy and lockdown days. Excellent value for money and highly recommend.

Just follow along the activity book, arrange the tiles to code your critter and reach the goal Follow along with Dipper's story in the set's 12-page full-colour coding activity book, then arrange the set's 16 included tiles to code your critter and reach a goal. Its quite fun. Kids will love it. You don't necessarily need to follow the booklet, you can come-up with you on path and play.

Das Coding Spielzeug von Learning Resources ist wirklich cool. Meine 4 Jährige Tochter hat schnell verstanden wie das Spiel funktioniert: sie hat schnell mit den Karten ihre Rennbahn gebaut und das kleine “Haustier” über die Bahn fahren lassen. Das Tier fährt wirklich die Strecke entlang und führt bei den Kindern zu einem Lerneffekt, wenn sie beispielsweise die Strecke aufbauen ohne die Straßen richtig zu verbinden, denn dann kommt das Tierchen nicht vorwärts. Schön hätte ich es gefunden, wenn es mehr Karten gegeben hätte bzw. Karten mit mehr Bewegungsmöglichkeiten für das Tierchen, damit es nicht zu einseitig wird. Ansonsten lieben meine Kinder das Spielzeug und beschäftigen sich gerne damit.
