License Plate Game [Kappa Map Group] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. License Plate Game Review: Nice laminated map with dry erase pen - My third grader is using this to check off all the states as we see their license plates on cars. It's helping him to learn all the states and where they are in the country. He now knows who our neighboring states are (because we see their plates all the time) and why we see others less frequently. It's a conversation starter for what states are known for (mottos and images on plates) and a fun game for 6-10 year olds on road trips or just driving around town. Review: Great activity - This was a great way to play "find the license plate" game. Our 8 and 9 year old granddaughters each had one. The shiny surface can be wiped and re used for another trip. One side had a map of US so kids could find the state after locating license plates. Very colorful and handy.

Easy at first, hard to complete!
We just returned from a 4 week road trip through five western states--this was one of the big hits of the trip! Hours of driving between one national park to the next, this helped keep us occupied. Warning, acquiring all 50 states (and D.C.) was difficult! We had 44 after three days in AZ and CA, but didn't get North Dakota until day 17, Hawaii until day 22 and Rhode Island until 24. The excitement for each of those last 3 was almost enough to bring tears of joy, until we remembered we were somewhere like the Grand Canyon or Crater Lake and there were more inspiring things around, haha. Our one wish was that this map came with stickers instead of the dry erase marker. So we also purchased this little book which DOES have stickers and then combined the two. Ultimate Sticker Puzzles: License Plates Across the States: Travel Puzzles and Games You could just use either/or, but we found the book stickers combined with the giant map to be the most pleasing outcome. Again NOTE: the map does not come with the stickers in the photo, but we would recommend purchasing this linked book to get them (it isn't expensive!). Safe travels!

Way too big
It helped keep the kids busy on our trip from Ohio to Florida and they liked it a lot but... It's HUGE! It starts as a standard pamphlet size and folds out into a massive unwieldy monstrosity. I'm going to find another compact version of this for the next trip.

Great Entertainment on the Road
So Cute. Great way to entertain kids while on the road while sneaking in a little education. I like that it is reusable so we can use it on every trip to see what states we can find when we go different routes. My daughter decided to use one side with a permanent marker so she can keep track of everyone we have seen but uses the other side to track for the specific trip.

Fun and easy!
Fun! I road tripped for total 29 hours with three 13 year old boys. I didn’t want them on technology (devices), so I bought them several road trip games. This was their favorite. They played it many, many times.

Great for long car rides!
This was a big hit! Whether we are just running around town or going on a longer ride, this keeps my son busy in the car.

The Idea is there.
Not at all what I was expecting. Basically, it is a laminated map which has been folded and now has folds in it which make it hard to use. Also came with a dry erase pen clipped on to the map. I have not taken the map out of our house, and cannot locate the pen...I can't imagine having it in our vehicle. I think smaller like a table placemat would have been the perfect size. When you use the dry erase pen and fold the map back up - it is going to erase what you filled in. I love the concept, but it is not feasible for our family.
