They are conveniently stored in 2 small containers that fit right inside of the board when it's folded. The price is right too. Review: excellent for study, not quite so for playing - Nice small travel board. Very good ONLY for study (from a book), due to the magnetic checkers. Not so good for playing, especially during travel, since no dice cups are provided AND - moreover or worse - the playing surface cannot and won't contain any rolling dice. Four stars only because of the latter shortcoming. The playing surface should have been recessed inside the box, as is the case with any backgammon board. I would have rated it ***** if the latter were the case...
