The noise level has been considerably diminished.
We utilize our garage extensively throughout the day, as it serves as our office space. I have been focused on enhancing our garage door in various ways to extend its lifespan and prevent potential issues. The noise generated by the old rollers was quite disruptive. I found these rollers on sale for $12, which was an unbeatable price compared to Home Depot, where two nylon rollers cost $7. Therefore, getting ten for $12 seemed like a worthwhile investment. They arrived promptly and were installed in under 20 minutes. The noise level, which was the primary reason for purchasing these rollers, has been significantly reduced, resulting in a remarkable improvement. If you are considering making a purchase, I highly recommend going for it!

Solid wheels, quieter, smooth rolling.
Replaced my 17 year old garage door wheels with these new ball bearing wheels. The door was definitely quieter and smoother with the new wheels. I greased the 4 inch metal stems all around with Mobil One grease and sprayed the wheel bearings with Teflon. Itโs a pretty simple job for most of the wheels except the two bottom wheels that have brackets that are typically attached to the door springs via stainless cables. DO NOT unbolt the bottom 2 wheel brackets with the stainless pulley cables attached to the door springs. Those brackets are under a LOT of tension and if you remove those bolts under tension, very bad things can happen! There is a way to remove the two bottom wheels on the tension brackets without unbolting them from the door. It requires unbolting a wall bracket (NOT the door bracket) and/or bending the metal track a bit with Vise Grips. Google that process and please proceed with great care. In 2006, I had the original wheels replaced by a โprecisionโ door company and they skipped the bottom wheels in the tension brackets. Now that Iโm retired, I did them myself and changed all the wheels. Look at the photo of the 3 wheels. On the left is the new white wheel from Amazon. On the far right, is the โprecisionโ wheel installed by the door company. In the center is the original 1993, non-bearing wheel the โprecisionโ door company was too lazy to replace. Hope this helps, be careful and good luck!

These are great. The bearings were falling out of the old metal wheels and my garage door made terrible noise and went off track. These were simple to install and now my door works perfectly and quietly. Great quick, cheap and easy fix.

Very satisfied
High quality, perfect fit, less expensive than other retailers. much quieter, Sealed bearings are good for longer life. . Install was easy for me. I had never done it before. I understand the the two lower ones and two uppers are difficult/dangerous. I left mine on and will drum up the courage one day. Be sure to have a good light you do it with the door closed so it's lower light hard to see. Don't just unbolt the upper lowers. Watch You Tube they had 4 or 5 vids that helped me with technique and to decide if I was capable.

Easy replacement for worn out rollers
These seem to be a good replacement for my original metal rollers that are now 40 years old. Depending on how you do it (see YouTube videos for lots of different methods) it took me only 25-30 minutes to replace. They are much quieter than the metal rollers and seems to be working well, so far.

Smooth-Quiet Operation!
I received the Garage Door rollers today in the mail. After reading thru a few of the negative reviews, I decided to test each roller, made sure it spun smoothly and were no defects. All rollers spun, no issues. Family moved into the house back in 98'-99', and I don't believe the garage door rollers were ever replaced. Wouldn't surprise me if they were original. The old rollers were steel, VERY worn, bearings completly shot, and made a LOT of noise. Before replacing the rollers, I made sure to head over to Youtube and watch a few how-to-replace garage door rollers. I followed the directions given in the video, and replaced all 10 rollers with ease. Took me probably close to 20 min. The top rollers gave me a little trouble, having to be on a ladder and having to twist the rail to remove roller. Once all new Nylon rollers were replaced, the difference in noise was amazing. It might not be as drastic for a lot of people, but the condition of the old steel rollers and how much noise they made, you could tell right away how quiet these Nylon rollers were.

Totally satisfied.
My garage door has gradually gotten noisier over the years. Most of the noise is from the opener, which I really need to replace one of these years. But a couple months ago a rumbling noise was added to the mix. It has been my experience that new noises generally don't solve old issues and sure enough, this was the case here. The upper roller shaft on one side was bent. Still trying to figure out how that happened. Be that as it may, I found these rollers. And the first thing I learned was that I needed two sets of them since I have an oversize door. The basic package has enough rollers for a standard door, I needed two more rollers. *sigh* But now I have some spares should any of these fail. From start to finish, it took two hours. Replace one at a time. Take the time to clean all the old scuz and crud from the hinges that hold the rollers. Grease the roller shafts to keep them from rusting. The only tricky part is the cables that fasten to the bottom of the door and go up to the roller spring. If you are not very very careful, that cable will let go while removing the bottom hinge. If it does, and you survive its flying around, you may never get it back on again, or if you do, the door will be crooked. So here's what I did- I lifted the door about halfway. Then I pinched the cable against the door frame in 3 places with C clamps. I used three because I didn't want to risk damaging the cables by really reefing down on one clamp. Two clamps would have been fine, but I was a bit concerned that one of them might slip off at a critical time. Then I put a piece of 2x4 on an vehicle floor jack, long enough to reach the bottom of the door. Pumped the jack just enough to take the pressure off the cable and replaced the roller. Repeat for the other side. Results: I was seriously amazed how much noise was coming from the old rollers. These are sooo much better. But the opener still makes a racket. So stay tuned at some unnamed future date for a really nifty garage door opener review.

These rollers stems are slightly shorter than the originals.
Due to the shorter length, I had to do a lot of adjustments to my door to prevent them from slipping out of the hinges. My old ones were also just a tiny bit larger at one end. But the manual states they are standard 4-inch stem. Not sure why the small differences?
