Extreme Duty Quick Release Bracket NB300 (for 2.5 lb H3R extinguishers)

Thankfully have not needed to use the fire extinguisher. But the peace of mind of knowing it's there in my classic car, and won't cause more damage to interior, paint, or electronics if I do need to use it (as compared to using a traditional chemical agent extinguisher), is worth the expense. The Extreme Duty mount works exactly as advertising. It's easy to attach to the seat-mounted bracket, and easy to access. I have mine mounted behind the driver seat. Nobody is ever in the rear seat, it's easy to access, and maintains a clean look.

Great quality and rigid/sturdy. Definitely a snug fit and took a little finesse to get the bolts to line up perfectly on then extinguisher tank, but once it’s set it’s a permanent solution

The concept is good but the molded parts had dimensional issues. The release pin hole on the mounting bar that attaches to the extinguisher did not line up with the release pin holes in the mounting bracket. I had to slot it on a mill before it would work. Also had to drill the screw holes oversize in the two circular brackets that clamp to the extinguisher body to make them fit to the mounting bar after they were slipped over the extinguisher body. I was using a H3R extinguisher as well. Probably a good design but hastily molded by some emerging market vendor. Looks and works well now that it is installed. For $61 it should have been better quality.
