Can the the bits be used with the extension on my Makita impact driver?

I would say yes, if you look at the picture of the individual bits on the bottom side of the case you can see the locking portion of the bits that would fit an impact drill driver.

will the screws stay on the end of the bit as well since the bit is magnetic?

Handle is magnetic not bits. so No they will not hold a screw

What size sockets are they?

7/16, 3/8,11/32, 5/16, 9/32, 1/4, 3/16.
