Works as advertised on a Garmin model: GPSMAP 943 Actually purchased this for a "workbench" setup for operating the Garmin unit indoors for testing. Hooked up to a rectifier (separate purchase) that converts wall outlet AC into 12V power that the Garmin unit needs. No issues.
