Is this the 3rd generation box being sold or an older model

I believe these are new devices. We have owned previous versions as the years have rolled by, replacing as they have become 'defunct'. None have had long service lives but we live in hope, rather than expectation, that this one will be better. It is certainly much more user friendly. Good luck.

Question about satellite?

I use an existing Sky dish and existing Coax cable works perfect

how can this box record 4 progs with only two cable inlets?

You would need a Wideband LNB (pick up at the end of dish) in order to record 4 channels at the same time. if you've had Sky Q then that dish will work. Older dishes will only allow two channels to be recorded.
