Ultimate laptop style keyboard but sturdier
This is the one. It feels like an extremely premium quality laptop keyboard. I usually use the Dell Chiclet style keyboard. I love that keyboard but this one is so much better. The action of the buttons is hard to describe but, the best way I can describe it is like one of the higher quality laptop keyboards. It's not clicky at all. It's really quiet. The travel distance is small. When you go past a certain point, the button just presses. I would say it takes less effort to push these buttons down than it does on the dell keyboard. The quality of this keyboard is exceptionally high. Everyone that says that it weighs a lot is right. The keyboard weighs substantially more than the average keyboard but not so much to the point where it's too heavy to move or too heavy to hold in your hand if you were standing up working on a workstation. It's not that kind of heavy. It's the kind of heavy that reminds you that you're holding on to something that is high quality. The texture of the keys keeps your finger from slipping and hitting the key next to it. It's not rough, nor is it smooth, it's more like a texture that grips the harder you push it. Again it's really hard to describe but it is significantly higher quality than any other keyboard I've had in the same class. I have no problem buying a second one for my other computer. I purchased several keyboards in the last year, and this one, by far, is significantly better in performance than all the other keyboards. Unfortunately I can't return the other ones so I have to keep them because they're relatively new. But I am probably going to start buying Cherry keyboards from now on. With absolute confidence I will say that you should just buy this keyboard if you want an exceptionally high quality keyboard that feels like a laptop keyboard but sturdier.

A diamond in the rough
This is the keyboard that nobody wants to tell anyone about because it is sooooo good for the price. Id put this up with Logitech MX keyboards but with better weight. It feels so smooth and satisfying to use. This is NOT a clicky keyboard it is very quiet and the key activation feels smooth and deliberate. I appreciate the somewhat hybrid key design where they aren't chiclet style keys and not a mechanical but lies somewhere in between. By the way, I am not a keyboard snob so pardon me if I use incorrect terms. My review is based solely on my feelings and me doing my best to describe my experience. The weight of the keyboard is fantastic! I didn't think it would matter much but it does. It stays planted even when bumped by a book or cup so once you find the sweetspot on your desk it will stay there. The only thing I am wanting is a small palm rest. Not for comfort but because I am used to it so when I put my hand up there my fingers land on the top row instead of the middle/home row. A palm rest would put my fingers back but I think it could get used to not having one. The keyboard doesnt need one to feel comfortable but with the lower profile my fingers tend to naturally over reach. Again this is mostly a learning curve and cherry does make the Palmrest Ergo that would work but its more than this keyboard needs. Overall this is a great keyboard. Very well made. I dont see it wearing down quickly or anything like that. It feels like it would last 10 years and I am sure it would!

Excellent full size soft touch keyboard
Great full size keyboard. No extra frills, it works like it says, as a keyboard. The keys are low profile keys so they stick up a small amount. I prefer low profile keys. As you type the keys they are totally silent. The keys are very easy to push, takes minimal effort. This will help from wearing out my hands / fingers as I've had finger problems before. I work from home and use this as my work computer. I work ten hour shifts and this keyboard has held up with zero issues. My fingers or hands don't ache from a long day typing. Has shortcuts for computer lock, internet, mail, calculator and sound shortcut keys. Highly recommended.

Nice Solid Keyboard
I researched a lot of keyboards before I choose this one. I wanted something wired, low-profile and relatively quiet but with some sort of tactile experience. I would say this fits the bill. The quality is nice. The keyboard has weight to it and it feels well made. Check the video for how the keys sound. I think they are very pleasant to type on. They make little bit of noise but they are not loud. I didn’t want some flashy keyboard so I like the discreet black design. Setup was easy - just plugged it in and it worked great. I’ve had no issues. I have rated it 4 stars because I can’t say it’s the perfect keyboard. I have had to get used to it and I think there is something about the layout or size that hurt my left hand for a bit. I am used to it now and I do enjoy using this keyboard. I think it’s great for the price. But someday I will try other keyboards for sure.

My favorite keyboard thus far
My favorite keyboard thus far. I’m a developer and have used many keyboards, this being my favorite so far for work. Very quiet, my co-workers don’t even hear me type anymore. But still has a satisfying click feel, key travel feels just right. No shortcuts baked into the F keys so I can use my F keys as intended, all shortcuts are separate keys. Proper Home and End key, and even a built in lock pc key. So far I love it.

Good buy on a keyboard.
It's a keyboard. It included all the keys. They all work. It is quiet. It is substantial and well made. My only issue is that I wish the keypad were a little taller, they are extremely low profile. It works fine though. I didn't like it enough to keep it as my primary keyboard, I have it in reserve in case this one ever breaks.

Solid keyboard!
I really like this keyboard. It's of a solid construction, and even though it's not mechanical, the keys have a great tactile feel. Very quiet as well. I'd absolutely buy it again.

Works Well For Me
Item Reviewed: Cherry Stream Keyboard - USB Keyboard - SX Scissors Mechanism - Wired Amazon Item: B07Z1KH3PL Review Date: 23 Jan 2021 Purchase Date: 15 Jan 2021 Purchase Price: $24.99 After using this keyboard for about a week, I find I like it a lot. i prefer a low/thin flat fullsize keyboard, that is quiet, has tactile style switches, short key travel and wired. This Cherry Stream keyboard has those qualities. It reminds me of the Logitech K740 Illuminated Ultrathin Keyboard K740 I had used as my main keyboard for several years. It is almost as thin as the K740, though this Cherry keyboard is not illuminated. The draw back to the K740 is the use of the Soft Touch Wrist/Palm Rest, which as most of the soft touch stuff eventually does, it reverted into a gooey sticky mess. Which I was able to remove after much work, though sometime after that I dropped something on it and some of the key caps broke off, rendering it useless. The tactile bump is a bit more pronounced than the K740 and feels about the same as Cherry's MX Brown switches. I couldn't find the specs for the Cherry SX scissor switches used in this keyboard. I'm not a typist by any stretch, nor much for games, so my use is more as a hobbyist/home user. It works well for me, and actually feels more comfortable than the MX Brown switch keyboard I have. And yes they are true Cherry MX Browns, even did the o-ring key dampner mod. It has enough Multimedia keys for my needs, as I usually just use the volume keys. The key caps are slightly concave which helps place your fingers. The home keys (F/J) do have a small bump, though they are a bit smaller than I would like and barely discernable. Again I'm not a touch typist though feeling where you are on the keyboard is a good thing. The key caps do not wobble, they do feel firm, solid and stable. It does work with Linux, I use Linux Mint 20.1 and previous. I don't use Windows or Mac. There is one thing I don't like about it though, and it is Cherry's decision to place their logo in the bottom center of the keyboard. My thumbs generally rest there and slide across the bottom. The logo is recessed and creates a hole/divot and is felt every time my thumb slides across it. The logo is also shiny chrome and due to the lighting of my work area it acts like a gleaming mini mirror. I have painted it flat black to eliminate that and will figure out how to fill it in and make it smooth. Ideally I would hope that Cherry would put the logo hole/divot in the top of the keyboard and make the logo dark and non reflective, a dark red would contrast nicely. So overall I am very pleased with it, especially for the price. Take Care & Enjoy!

Great Keyboard
Very good quality and very quite and elegant keyboard. Not for gaming, I have mechanical keyboard for it, but for daily tasks and office use...such a great keyboard.

Great keyboard for a very decent price
A few years ago I bought the wireless version of this keyboard. Recently it had a malfunction and stopped working. I was however so pleased with it (and used to it) that I ordered the wired version of the keyboard. For me it works great. I like the keys and the layout with extra function keys. I also like the Cherry support, With the old keyboard I had an issue with a key (was my own fault) and Cherry quickly replaced the key. Great service! Hope to be able to use this keyboard for many years.

That one keyboard we've all been looking for productivity
The first thing you realize when you take it out of the box is the weight, which is a good thing. The design is classic Cherry minimalism and blends well with any work desk. The key switches are scissor type and reminiscent of the old IBM ThinkPad series. Typing is a dream on this and one can speed type on this without too many mistakes. Build quality is top notch and it shows. Next to no flex and no cheap plastic squeakiness. If you really want to nitpick, one wishes the NUM, CAPS,SCROLL lights could maybe be a bit more brighter, but then again that would take away the clean aesthetic. Otherwise, it's a solid keyboard and you get every bang for your buck.
