Was dubious about ordering this type of paper online as would like to see the actual colour & how substantial it is but this paper is exactly as hoped it would be. The colour is what I would call an old gold slight sheen not shinny or guady really nice. Bought for 50th wedding anniversary gift wrapping & is ideal, the rest will be great for Xmas wrapping. Is stiffish paper but folds easily. Great paper, great price, recommend.

Love this paper, can use it for all sorts of crafts & even as a backing on a paper blind to give a blackout effect

Aug 2025 new review, dropped to 3 stars. Not as dull rich gold looking as before. It’s now a brighter more mustard gold colour. And the paper doesn’t seem as thick. Easier to wrap gifts. But I wanted it to be the same colour as I originally had. This is a smoother satin finish and just doesn’t look the same. The older version gold colour seemed to suit any occasion. For male of female. This new brighter mustard gold version, I would probably only use as female gift wrap now. I’m disappointed this is not the same as before. Added new picture of this paper against my wooden floor. All the other pictures are from 2023. 2023 original review. I gave full star view on. Firstly it arrived with a crease in. But wasn’t a problem once wrapping after all, as it was mainly under the parcels. Love the satin gold colour. Can be used for anyone, male, female and kids of any age. And any occasion from birthdays to Xmas paper. This is why I originally purchased it, as a good back up spare. But also found it is such a good quality thickness, I found myself wrapping parcels to post in it as well. The gold colour goes with lots of different coloured bows to custom your theme to as well. So apart from the creasing in the first few meters of the roll I really like this paper. So I have still given it a full star mark. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future and we will see if that turns up creased as well. Hope not, but if it’s only minor creasing like this one. Then I won’t be too bothered about it.

Excellent quality, arrived quickly very pleased

So I had wanted to use this like kraft paper to wrap gifts with but it tears quite easily when folded on corners, but thats my fault entierly as I assumed what it was going to be like. However, I did use it to place on a flat surface (window actually!) and it worked great. I used to to cover a large window to stop everything getting sun bleached but rather than putting plastic vinyl up, I chose this as it gave great shading despite being lightweight *and* would be really easy to remove if I needed to. Plus the colour is nice and bright, and uniform! Great for what it was actually intended for!
