When you say 1.6mm bold, do you mean the width of the writing is that wide?

1.6mm equals .063 of an inch. That number is the width of the pen that you would be holding in your hand. That would be pretty cool if they made a pen that writes that wide, it would use alot of ink. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

What's the difference between this (Atlantis Velocity) and the Velocity pen?

The Atlantis Velocity Bold and the Velocity Bold are the same pen. The Velocity Bold is now known as Atlantis Velocity Bold.

It is not a gel pen. It is a ball point pen with an extra large ball that produces think lines similar to a gel pen.

Are there refills for this pen?

I don't know but the price point is low and they write wonderfully. Clear and bold. I hope this helps..
