Extremely poor quality. Cheaply made, absolutely minimal solder joints inside the connectors. Don't plug this into anything you care about.

Quality of manufacture is iffy at best. Polarity was wired incorrectly in one cable. Banana plugs are poor quality. I removed them and replaced them with better quality. The inner insulating sheath was not stripped back so the assembler tightened the set screw through the inner sheath just barely making continuity. Both banana jacks were done this incorrect way! I’m not impressed… poor quality control :(. Probably made in China :(

The pvc plastic coatings do not relieve any strain when removing the plugs from whatever socket you are plugged into. the black ground plug on my cable ripped out of the weak connector, leaving an exposed wire and stuck banana plug connector in my device. Even after tried to put the connector back on myself, it still slipped right out at the very first unplug, unless you pinch really hard like I did to remove the red plug initially. Luckily there was a local custom cable manufacturing company that could salvage and modify the faulty product into something functional. The audio professionals there also let me know some important information for anyone in need of a cable with these specific connections: this is an uncommon cable, and it’s hard to come across a mass manufactured one of good quality. If you know how to modify this thing yourself it’s not too hard, and it’s not too expensive. But if you are looking for a cheap quick alternative, this is not it. The only reason I don’t rate it one star is because it worked as advertised for the first time I plugged it in. I suppose it works fine if you plug it in ONCE and NEVER UNPLUG IT AGAIN. Also if you have the tools and the internet, you can purchase metal connectors online and replace them yourself.

I bought this cable to test my guitars with a DMM. The quality of this cable is pretty good, with one exception. The rubber covers on the banana plugs slip off easily making it difficult to disconnect the banana plug. I made a simple modification, I added heat shrink wrap over the banana plug connections. As other have mentioned, there is a length of internal sheathing that covers the copper wire where the set screw hold the wire, therefore leaving a loose wire end inside as they are not soldered. I stripped that length of sheathing off and tighten the set screw in place before applying the heat shrink. Now the rubber covers stay in place when pulling on the banana plug to disconnect it.

This cable has banana plugs that are too small for instrument speakers. DO NOT PURCHASE for use with any speaker beyond home stereo use!

Mostly a nice product but the banana plug insulators spoiled it for me. They are just rubber tubes that do not grip the connectors at all. So when removing or inserting the banana plug the insulator either slips forward so the plug won't insert or slide up the wire leaving the connector bare. For someone trying to set up gear quickly an accurately, they are a pain. In the end, I am going to have to replace the banana plug ends to make this usable.
