It is expensive, but it should last a long time. Its multi-use as a roasting pan, dutch oven, frying pan justifies its cost.

The most excellent Turkey roaster! I used this for the first time for Thanksgiving, and it was absolutely brilliant for roasting potatoes in with the Turkey. They came out crispy and delicious! The lid is an added bonus too, you can use it for servicing up sliced turkey. And you can cook on it as well. Such a versatile cooking vessel. The stainless steel is impossibly shiny and gorgeous! I adore this pan and for the price it was a good investment, it will be good in my kitchen for many years to come. 5 stars!

This is a very nice roasting pan. The pan is thick and sturdy and the top can also be used as a pan. The pan comes with a wire rack which is also very sturdy. This is a large pan and was big enough for a 14 lb. turkey. I wish I has invested in this pan sooner.

This roasting pan and lid are absolutely gorgeous. The quality is amazing. The real Mercedes of cookware.

I haven't used it yet but it looks impressive and seems to be good quality.

I bought my Viking 8.5 quart roaster 5 years ago. I've made beef roast, pork roast, lamb shanks, Indian butter chicken (video), lobster Thermador and much much more. Every time I use this pot it stands up to the challenge. One of my favorites is good ole New Orleans style red beans and rice. I start them on the cook top and finish in oven. It fries extremely well too. I set up my thermometer on one of its handles and point the probe into the grease. Keeps the heat uniform throughout the cook. Also the top can not only be used as a serving dish, but it also can be used to cook with. So you get to pots in one with this set. Cleanup is a breeze because of the high Luster stainless steel. Food just glides off in the soapy water. All in all this roaster is easily my most prized go to utensil in the kitchen. Maybe you shouldn't get it. This way I will continue to be the champion home cook!

It seemed as though everyone's Grandma/Mom had one of those old enameled steel roasting pans. Roast Beef, Chicken, Thanksgiving Turkey, Holiday Breads, A nice Pork Roast... We can pause and remember the aromas drifting from those kitchens. What are some important qualities of a decent roasting pan? Sturdy, heats evenly, keeping the meat above the juices and fats generated by the roasting process. This pan is heavy duty. It heats evenly and holds the heat. The rack keeps the meat above the swirling sea of juices, drippings, and fats...whilst allowing for the moisture (or your spoon/ladle) to baste the meat during the roasting process. Also, the raised rack allows for even cooking on all sides. Another plus? The cover doubles as a second pan when inverted. I'm contemplating a nice pork roast as I type this review. Bon Appétit!

Though I was buying a quality item from amazon, but the item came with a dint , approx 5 mil. Very disappointed, will try to get an exchange from them, will update and see what happens. Low quality control, don't know how this got pass quality control, or is amazon selling seconds?

It's amazing.

The headline says it all. After several uses, it still looks like new. Bartender's Friend really helps clean stubborn spots with no damage to the mirror-like surfaces. Pot roasts turned out really great. We are now having them quite often ;-)

This is the best roaster I've ever had - and there have been many! Truly, this unit is well worth the cost, considering it will outlast me! And the rack is well thought out, too, very practical design. I'm happy :-)
