Baby Loves this Sling and So Does Mommy!
My baby LOVES this sling. He's 12 months old now and he's loved it the whole 5 months I've had it. He gets all excited when he sees me get this sling out! He feels very comfortable in it and he likes to put both arms down into the sling and settle in, snuggling in close to me with a big grin when I get him into the sling. Today I even got it out and used it to get him to fall asleep when nothing else would work. He sits on my hip in the sling, and he can lay his head on my chest (breast)when he's sleepy. He's more comfortable in the sling than just in my arms! This sling is very easy and quick to use. I carry it in my diaper bag everywhere I go--something I couldn't do with my other types of baby carriers. It's very pretty, and the cotton it's made of is cool enough for warm climates. The rails are padded just the right amount so that it's comfortable on the shoulder and baby's legs, but still goes through the rings pretty easily. The shoulder padding is good and works! I recommend adjusting this sling so that the rings end up kind of high, about armpit level, and getting baby snug and close for the most comfort on the shoulder. This sling is comfortable to wear and I can throw it on it a couple of minutes. I got the fern batik pattern, and I couldn't tell from the picture what it was going to look like, really. It's a print on light cotton fabric, and it's not shimmery or shiny. It's really pretty and it looks very fashionable! A friend recommended this sling to me and I would recommend it to all my friends too. It cost me about half the price of most of the slings out there, even here online.

Beautiful & the Best Wrap of Them All!!
We received an Ergobaby 360 and a K-Tan for baby gifts, but neither worked well for us. This sling has been the best purchase. The Ergobaby was too hot for summer and was tedious to put on for every errand. The K-Tan was unstable and - again - tedious. Both took too long to put my child in - and if you have ever tried to haul around one of those infant carriers, you know they're nearly as heavy as the baby (depending on the size of your infant). So errands were a horrible nuisance. I needed a quick, easy and practical wrap/sling. This sling allows me to have a life and get things done with my child rather than in spite of him. - It's quick and easy to put him in and take him out. I just remove him from his car seat, slip him in = we're ready to go. No straps or velcro, or renegotiating random lengths of cloth, or rechecking that everything is sturdy. It's just intuitive and utterly beautiful. - It's sturdy and the sewn backing helps distribute LOs (considerable) weight comfortably over my back. The ring is solid, no welding, and I never have to worry about it giving out. (I knot the end just to make sure the cloth-end won't slip through since LO is so heavy, but the design is well thought out and should prevent that, especially for lighter babies). - It's lightweight and breathable. It's easy to toss in the diaper bag once he's back in his car seat. And he never seems like he is going to suffocate against my chest in this one. - I can carry him in different ways. These days, he likes hugging my body upright, propped up in it, so he can look around (for about 10minutes) but remain close to me. - He hates going to sleep, but if I carry him around in this, it always puts him to sleep in 5-10minutes. If you have a fussy kid, you know this is a huge deal. The movement may mimic his time inside my belly. Whatever the case, it works. I'm not going to argue with that! - (this isn't as big a deal, but) The Batik pattern is gorgeous. I've never regretted it. I will be buying a second one of these as back-up, and it's on my list of "Essential Baby Shower Gifts" for friends. It's amazing.

looove this!
To start out the sling was packaged soo well! Off the bat I was excited to open it. The sling was exsctly how I thought it would be! Sooo pretty! The colors are just amazing and I get compliments everytime I wear it! It fits my 2 month old AND my almost 3 year old perfectly! Its great for quick trips. Instead of having to put my woven wrap on and do all the tieing, this wonderfully just goes on and off the shoulder. The light padding is great too. All around amazing wrap for a great price! The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the padding along the top and bottom rail can make it a littke hard, at first, to pull through the rings. But all you have to do is break it in a little by wearing it. It helps to lift up the ring as your tightening it. The other reason is bc the pamphlet that came with it is kind of weird. The words are clear and understandable but the pictures are weird. But the ring sling its sellf is amazing! I recommend this sling to everybody I see!

love this sling, except the rings.
I bought this sling quite a while ago for use with my first baby, back when I was very new to babywearing. I loved it and still like it. It was great for quick trips or traveling. I used it for a total of 4 years on two babies/toddlers with no problems. Pros: 1. Really pretty print--this is a personal preference, of course :) 2. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. 3. Well made--the stitching looks really well done and durable. I never found anything coming un-sewn or pulling. Cons: 1. The rings are not actually the type you would normally use for babywearing. They could be potentially unsafe. I actually didn't replace mine, but definitely inspected them (and the entire sling) prior to each use. 2. The sling is made from one piece of material and not backed with another piece. So it's very thin. This is great in summer because it was nice and cool, but I imagine could also be very bad if you got a small hole in it as it would probably spread fairly quickly. Overall, this is an okay product. It's an easy fix to make it have the right type of rings, but if you're going to go through that you might as well spend a few bucks more initially to get a different one.

Great Sling!
I wish I had this before my daughter was born. I used a snugli front carrier until she was about six months old, then she got too heavy for it and the straps hurt me too much to use it anymore. This is so much more comfortable, once you get the hang of it, which really doesn't take long. Plus, there's no complicated straps to adjust, and it's easy to tighten/loosen it with the baby inside. I was ready to send it back after the first time I wore it, but I sent them an email and they gave me some pointers on how to adjust it comfortably, and now we use it everyday. Now, at ten months, I make the loop very small and put it under her arms so she can "walk" all by herself (much easier on your back since you don't have to bend over. The fabric is really beautiful and the quality is great(I've washed it twice).I get compliments whenever I wear it. Like I said, I wish I had this sling from the beginning beacause there are so many different ways to carry the baby in it, it really does grow with your child. I would really reccomend this to anyone expecting, it doesn't take much practice to wear it comfortably, but it does take some patience. Read the instructions on their website before you give up! It's worth it! P.S. I'm not particulary thin or short, but I still had to weave the padded part of the straps through the loop to make it snug enough, so this is plenty big for a larger-built person.

Amazing, safe sling!
I have never owned a wrap or a sling before so I was a bit nervous. I'm in love. I cant wait to use this up until he cant fit in it anymore. There are SO MANY colors to choose from. I think that was the hardest part! I ordered this in the "fern batik" as I wanted a neutral color for my son and maybe a future daughter. It is BEAUTIFUL! I wore it for my first time in the grocery store and received so many compliments! People asked if I liked the sling over the wrap better and I had to tell them I've never tried the wrap but I chose the sling first before a wrap, as I like to get in and out of the store quickly and I figured a wrap would take too long to put on and take off. But like I said, since I've never tried the wrap I shouldn't judge. This sling is so easy to put on. 30 seconds maybe? I put it in my diaper bag when we're in the car. Not bulky. Very strong material. I was nervous at first to let go, as any mom would be trying it out for the first time but I'm comfortable now. I wear it with my one month old son around the house cleaning up so he's close. He falls asleep instantly and I know why he likes it. I really want to order more colors but I don't know if my husband will let me lol. Lite-on-Shoulder Baby Sling

Be weary of rings
I LOVED this sling.. Until one of the rings broke while I was tightening it and my baby nearly fell out. I had my 2 month old in the newborn hug hold and pulled the tail fabric to pull her closer to me, just as I had done hundreds of times before (I used this sling for another baby also), and one ring bent, leaving it to slide through the second ring and the fabric fall through. I was not able to repair the ring and I definitely don't feel safe carrying my child in it any more. My baby practically lived in this sling and I loved the comfort, convenience, and nice print. I'm very disappointed. I will be ordering a new ring sling from a different company.

Simple and Highly Effective
This sling is great. I struggled with getting it just right at first. However, there are great video clips and demos on their website that help you figure it out. I haven't attempted any ambitious positions like carrying my squirmy 7 month old on my back but the hip position and side craddle for nursing have been great. Being able to walk around freely while my son nurses is such a wonderful help. He isn't being rushed and I am not constantly searching for a chair or bench in public. I do NOT consider this a hands free baby carrier. You really need to keep one hand on the baby. However, it makes it alot easier to carry my baby, who is nearly 20 lbs, without breaking out the Bjorn and strapping us together tightly. The Bjorn is great for truly hands free hiking or something of that nature but it gets hot and uncomfortable on both mom and baby. One side note: I was so psyched to use it that I didn't wash it first. This was a mistake. My son has sensitive skin and he broke out with a moderate to severe rash on the exposed skin areas that had direct contact. He does have issues with eczema and is generally more sensitive than the average baby but just making folks aware. Wash this thing in Dreft or another baby friendly detergent first.
