I've been watching a lot of balayage videos in hopes to continue what my stylist has been doing to my hair. I haven't seen my stylist in almost a year due to covid and being a very unnatural platinum blonde, my hair is really struggling. I tried a few months ago to bleach my roots using just foils and it didn't end too well. It was way too chunky because I lack the patience that my hair dresser has. This time around I thought I would try the balayage technique to paint my roots with bleach to match the lengths of my hair. This worked out so much better than what I had tried before and it was a lot less time consuming.

I bought to put blonde streaks in my hair lol. It worked.

I am a licensed hairdresser, and I finally had a chance to try my new ProStylingTools® 3-Way Weaving & Sectioning Foiling Comb for Hair Coloring & Highlighting. I was a little skeptical as to how it would perform, but wanted to give it a try as I foil my own hair. It gets very difficult trying to weave and foil the back of my hair, even with a mirror. At first, I absolutely hated this comb when I tried it.. Then, I played around with it for a few minutes and started to get the hang of how to comb and separate. It took a little practice but I finally felt confident to try to foil the back. I'm so happy with the results! It made it so much easier for me to get a consistent weave pattern, with a lot less straining and trying to see. I do still prefer to weave by hand the rest of my hair, and find this comb would actually be more difficult on a clients hair than just traditional weaving. I also wish it was easier to separate the strands between the in/out sections! But, for my needs in being able to do my own hair, it worked very well, just needed some patience. =) I would definitely recommend and am not disappointed at all. Wish I had ordered sooner, and can't beat the price!

Love the price of this comb but it broke on first use. You get what you pay for

Was surprised at the quality of this comb, I expected a cheap feeling utensil, but was looking for ways to cut down my foiling time as it seems to take me longer than some to weave out a section. ( even though they ALWAYS come out perfect, lol!) Once you find your perfect angle to use this comb it works wonders! Cut that foil time down considerably, and now I do not have to go for the water to slow up my earlier foils. I process all at one time which has made my life so much easier as a professional cosmetologist! If your like me, and you find yourself taking maybe a bit to much time trying to make sure your weave pattern is perfect than I think you should definitely give this comb a try! It has paid for itself tons of times over by now just by saving me that time!

The comb is too bulky to use for highlighting and the notches are too shallow to be able to cleanly separate the hair. Very disappointed. I tried using the comb for styling and teasing purposes, but I would have had better luck with a fork to be honest. Spend the extra money and buy the brand name Vellen.

So let me start by saying although I’m no professional I did go to beauty school so I know proper sectioning etc. My natural color is very dark and I’ve gone all over blond but I’ve stayed off scalp so I don’t have to mess with dark roots or banding. This comb is great for touch ups because it helps me avoid harsh lines of demarcation and gives an easy root melt look. I could weave but this is just easier when doing my own head. Great product

I watched a YouTube video from Deanndra Nunnery titled at home money piece highlights on how to do this and love the results from using this comb. The pictures are at my natural state but looks just as good when blow dried and straightened.
