The lightpipe is pretty consistent along its length and fairly bright. I haven't tried the speaker function as I have a good speaker setup but a friend has this same pad and says it works great. What you're getting for the price is WELL worth it when you consider what other companies are charging for similar products. The USB ports are a nice addition but I do have a couple things to note about them. There are 2 on the side and one facing the rear, so it may not be the cleanest layout for wires. I also tried hooking up my Qi charger to it (using my keyboards power USB port to power the mat itself) and it didnt seem to have enough power to fast charge my note 8. but other devices charge fine directly connected to the ports. Just something to look out for.Overall, if youre looking for an RGB mousepad, this one has great tracking, good lighting, and a fair amount of mousing space. I would HIGHLY recommend a keyboard without the numberpad to give yourself even more mousing room (especially if you have a lower sensitivity in games). The speaker quality was surprisingly really good, down side is it only plays for the left speaker and the right is missing so you will have to switch this to play Mono which I have yet to figure out. There isn't any software either to control it from the computer but it does have some decent presets for the RGB LED lighting. Lighting isn't perfect and somewhat inconsistent. For the price I paid this was really good quality as I didn't even intend to use the speaker. or lighting. The complaint for the stitching to hold the LED fiber to the mat is somewhat valid, it is rough but I rarely noticed it at all and I use this to work on daily so its not that big of a deal. Its wrapped with Nylon.
